Mhoba White Pot Stilled High Ester is not like the "regular" white rum from Mhoba. This version comes in different batches, but the difference is also that the fermentation takes longer and uses "thunder", like classic powerful Jamaican rums. However, this one is made from pure sugarcane juice and not molasses. It's distilled at a lower strength, which makes for a more powerful and heavy rum. Fortunately, it's bottled at a high alcohol percentage, so you can really get the flavor.

This rum is the second one in the Distillery Series Rum, which is a tribute to the distillery, who made the rum. In this case it is Distillerie Poisson, whiche is also known ad Pere Labat.
The distillery is based at Marie Galante the most soythern island of Guadeloupe.

This rum is based on cane juice and was distilled on an old Creole column still. After distillation, it has ben aged 4 years in France in Ex-Cognac barrels made of French Oak. After 4 years it was transported to Denmark to get the final finish in Ex-Madeira barrels made of American Virgin White Oak. It has been giving the rum some notes of red berries, which is very present.
