Seventeen years of ageing in Jamaica gives rum an intensity few other styles can match, and here RomDeLuxe has found a cask that shows exactly why.
Expert Description
RomDeLuxe Collectors Series Rum #15 Jamaica Single Cask is a Jamaica Rum, bottled from a single cask by the Danish bottler RomDeLuxe, distilled in 2005 at the Worthy Park distillery and aged 17 years, bottled at 54.4%.
Worthy Park is one of Jamaica's most respected pot still distilleries, known for its pronounced, ester-rich style, fully preserved when RomDeLuxe bottles directly from the cask with no filtration, added sugar or colouring. The 17 years of ageing in the Caribbean climate have given the rum an unusual depth and intensity, where the characteristic Jamaican funk has been woven together with decades of woody fullness.
The result is one of the most powerful and complex Jamaican rums in RomDeLuxe's Collectors Series.
