    Item no.: 222278875577-996

Oloroso is the darkest and most full-bodied of the sherry styles, and in Taiwan's warm climate the whisky draws even more character from the cask in a shorter time.

    Expert Description

Kavalan Oloroso Sherry Oak Matured is a Single Malt Whisky from Taiwan, bottled at 46%.

The whisky is matured in Oloroso sherry casks from Kavalan Distillery in Yilan county, founded in 2005. Oloroso is a dry, dark sherry style that gives deep colours and a rich, nutty sweetness, further intensified by Taiwan's subtropical climate.

    Tasting Notes

The whisky is matured using a combination of three different sherry cask types from Kavalan Distillery in Yilan county, founded in 2005. The combination of several sherry styles gives a deeper layering of flavour than a single cask programme can typically provide.

  • Bottle of Kilchoman 100% Islay 14th Edition Single Farm Single Malt Whisky
    Item no.: 22227865411-44

Fourteen releases into the same experiment, and the 100% Islay series is still just as particular: one field, one distillery, no shortcuts. 14th Edition is to date the oldest and most rounded expression of Kilchoman's most personal project.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman 100% Islay 14th Edition is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 9 years old and bottled at 50 %.

The series is built on barley grown, floor malted, distilled, matured and bottled exclusively on Kilchoman's own land — a genuine Single Farm Single Malt, where nothing ever leaves the farm along the way. 14th Edition is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, giving a fine balance of smoke, fruit and spice.

With 9 years of maturation, this is one of the oldest releases in the series to date, giving it a deeper and more rounded character than the earlier, younger editions. The barley's lower phenol profile compared to Kilchoman's bought-in malt still means a lighter, more floral smoke style, even after this many years in cask.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Ripe fruit and honey meet a delicate peat smoke, with a hint of sherry spice and toasted nuts.

    Palate

Round and well balanced, with sweet malt, dried fruit and a growing, gentle smoke tied together by the sherry's depth.

    Finish

Long and warm, with lingering smoke and a final trace of raisin and oak.

13 years is almost two-thirds of Kilchoman's entire lifetime as a distillery. This release is one of the rare moments where you can taste just how far the distillery's young, energetic style has developed over time.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman 13 Year Old is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured for 13 years and bottled at 50 %.

With 13 years of maturation behind it, this is one of the oldest releases in Kilchoman's catalogue, surpassed only by a handful of even older limited editions. The long maturation has given the whisky time to settle, without losing the freshness and citrus character that defines the distillery's style.

The maturation has given the whisky layer upon layer of complexity: cherry, heather blossom, caramel and spice dancing together with the characteristic peat smoke, leaving a soft, silky finish.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Juicy cherries and delicate heather blossom meet a deep, intense peat smoke.

    Palate

Full, with notes of caramel, enticing spice and creamy vanilla that unite with the peat smoke in layer upon layer of complexity.

    Item no.: 22227865411-3

November 2006 was still the distillery's first year, and this sherry butt is one of the very earliest testimonies to how Kilchoman sounded before the world had really discovered them.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman 2006/2010 Single Cask FC Whisky Denmark 3 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 4 years old from a single sherry butt and bottled at cask strength, 59.9 %.

The whisky was distilled on 8 November 2006, just over a year after Kilchoman was founded, and matured for four years in a single sherry butt — cask number 316 — before being bottled on 10 November 2010. It is the third release in the former FC Whisky Denmark series.

Because it comes from a sherry butt, one of the largest cask types in the whisky world, the spirit gets far more contact surface with the wood than in smaller casks, giving a deeper, spicier sherry character after just four years.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Rich sherry sweetness meets dark fruit and peat smoke, with a hint of toasted nuts and spice.

    Palate

    Expert's description

Kilchoman 2006/2011 Single Cask FC Whisky Denmark 4 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 5 years old from a single bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength, 61.5 %.

The whisky was distilled on 29 March 2006 and bottled exactly five years later, on 29 March 2011, from bourbon cask number 03/06. That makes it one of the earliest releases where Kilchoman dared to commit to a fixed 5 year age statement, at a time when the distillery was still known mainly for its young, energetic 3 year old releases.

As a cask strength bottling from a single cask, the whisky shows Kilchoman's character completely unfiltered — intense, powerful and carrying the distinct signature only one individual cask can give.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Vanilla and caramel from the bourbon cask meet a powerful, almost sharp peat smoke and a hint of green apple.

    Palate

The fifth and last known cask in the FC Whisky Denmark series is a direct, young and powerful single cask — a closing chapter in the story of how Kilchoman was discovered by Danish whisky enthusiasts.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman 2008/2011 Single Cask FC Whisky Denmark 5 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 3 years old from a single bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength, 61 %.

The whisky was distilled on 14 August 2008 and bottled on 3 October 2011 from bourbon cask number 400/2008. Only 250 bottles exist in total, making it one of the most limited releases in the FC Whisky Denmark series.

As the fifth and last known release in the series, it represents the close of a period when Kilchoman regularly selected individual casks specifically for the Danish market — a practice that has since become a rare exception rather than the rule.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman 2008/2013 Single Cask FC Whisky Denmark 8 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 5 years old from a single cask and bottled at cask strength, 60.2 %.

The whisky was distilled on 12 September 2008 and matured for just under five years in a fresh bourbon cask, before receiving a finishing period in an Oloroso sherry hogshead and being bottled on 16 September 2013. Only 266 numbered bottles exist in total from this cask.

Kilchoman's then manager, John MacLellan, described the cask himself as an appealing combination of peat, fruit and spice, underscored by the mild sweetness of the sherry finish — a profile that still holds true in the glass today.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Peat smoke meets dark fruit and spice, with a mild sweetness from the Oloroso finish tying the aromas together.

    Palate

Rich and round, an ideal combination of bourbon-matured Kilchoman character and deep sherry tones, with spice, smoke and a sweetness of raisin and ripe plum.

  • Bottle of Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask Matured Islay Single Malt Whisky, dark colour
    Item no.: 059763-615-484

Pedro Ximénez is the sweetest and darkest of all sherry styles — a wine so thick with sun-dried grapes it's almost spoonable. Kilchoman let it work all the way through their spirit, resulting in the distillery's first ever release fully matured in PX casks.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman 2023 PX Sherry Cask Matured is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, fully matured in ex-PX Sherry casks for a minimum of five years and bottled at 50 %.

Pedro Ximénez, or simply PX, is made from sun-dried grapes pressed into a thick, dark and intensely sweet wine. The casks that held it give the whisky a markedly different character to drier sherry styles like Fino or Amontillado — here it's all about deep sweetness, dried fruit and an almost syrupy texture.

Because the spirit spent its entire maturation in the PX casks rather than just a short finish, the sweetness is woven deep into the whisky from the start. That makes it one of the darkest and most dessert-like Kilchoman releases to date, with Islay's peat smoke having to work its way through layer upon layer of raisin and caramel.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Raisins, prune blossom and dark molasses pour out, backed by toasted walnuts and a deep, sweet peat smoke.

    Palate

Intense sweetness from the start — syrup, dates and dark chocolate — before the smoke slowly takes over, bringing balance with a dry, ashy edge.

    Finish

Long, sweet and smoky at once, with a final trace of liquorice and toasted oak.

Kilchoman Batch Strength is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled at cask strength, 57 %.

Where Kilchoman's core releases like Machir Bay and Sanaig are bottled at 46 %, Batch Strength is bottled straight from a selection of chosen casks with no water added. That gives a markedly more intense and concentrated version of the distillery's classic style, where fruit, spice and smoke all step forward more clearly.

Because it's a batch, made up of several casks rather than a single one, it retains the consistency that defines Kilchoman's standard releases — just at a strength that gives the whole flavour profile extra weight.

    Tasting notes

Portuguese red wine casks are rare guests in Scotch whisky. Casado 2022 Release is Kilchoman's take on what happens when classic Islay peat gets company from deep, red-wine-tinged fruit out of Iberia.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Casado 2022 Release is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Portuguese red wine casks and bottled at 46 %.

The release is the result of carefully selected casks, brought together to create a harmonious flavour experience. Combining ex-bourbon casks with Portuguese red wine oak casks achieves a deep and complex flavour profile, where the red wine's fruit sweetness layers on top of Kilchoman's classic peated character.

The result is a soft, round whisky where notes of peated smoke, caramel, vanilla and dried fruit dance in a different balance to the distillery's more familiar sherry and port-matured releases.

    Item no.: 059763-615-104

Cognac and Islay peat sounds like an unlikely pairing — until you taste it. Kilchoman sourced casks from a single French cognac house and let them lay a layer of dried fruit and warm spice over their spirit, without the smoke ever losing ground.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Cognac Cask Matured Limited Release is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in ex-cognac casks and bottled at 50 %.

The casks come from Bossuet Cooperage in France and all originate from the same cognac house — a detail that ensures a consistent, characterful cask influence across the whole release. The 300-litre casks previously held cognac, itself double distilled in copper pot stills and matured for a minimum of two years in French oak, typically Limousin, before being emptied and refilled with new-make Kilchoman spirit.

The result builds on Kilchoman's classic house style — citrus-fresh peat smoke carried on Islay's coastal air — while adding an extra layer of dried fruit, caramel and warm spice from the cognac casks' history. It's a release that shows how much a single cask type can shift a whisky without it losing its identity.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Dried apricots and orange peel meet caramel and a hint of freshly brewed coffee, while the peat smoke sits as a calm undercurrent throughout.

    Palate

Soft and spiced, with notes of raisin, honey and warm cinnamon that slowly give way to a rising wave of Islay smoke and a touch of dark chocolate.

    Finish

By French law, cognac must be distilled twice in copper pot stills and matured for at least two years before it can even be called cognac — a process that echoes Scotch whisky production in several ways, even though grapes replace the barley.

  • Bottle of Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2024 Edition Islay Single Malt Whisky, sherry-matured
    Item no.: 059763-655-loch2024

Every year Kilchoman gathers the best sherry casks in the warehouse and draws a line under the vintage with Loch Gorm. The 2024 edition is a reminder of why this annual tradition remains one of the most anticipated in the distillery's calendar.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2024 Edition is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured exclusively in ex-sherry casks and bottled at 46 %.

Loch Gorm is not a one-off bottling but a recurring event — every vintage is assembled from a fresh selection of oloroso sherry casks, chosen for their ability to balance sweetness, spice and peat smoke. The 2024 edition continues that line with a deep, rounded sherry character that shows just how consistently Kilchoman holds its style year after year.

Unlike the distillery's citrus-fresh core releases, Loch Gorm is built to showcase the sherry's weight: dried fruit, spice and a dark sweetness that slowly lets the peat smoke break through as a reminder of where the whisky actually comes from.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Dark raisins and toasted hazelnuts meet a sweet caramel and a hint of pipe tobacco, while the peat smoke smoulders in the background.

    Palate

Rich and spiced, with the sherry cask's sweetness first, followed by dark chocolate and a growing, warm smoke that ties the flavour together towards the end.

    Finish

Medium to long, dry and smoky, with a final trace of toasted almonds and dark fruit.

  • Bottle of Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2025 Edition Islay Single Malt Whisky, sherry-matured
    Item no.: 05955-9663

Named after the loch that mirrors the sky right behind the distillery, Loch Gorm is the release where Kilchoman sets the peat aside and lets the sherry casks take the lead. The 2025 edition is the darkest and roundest in years.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2025 Edition is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 10 years old, matured exclusively in ex-sherry casks and bottled at 46 %.

Loch Gorm was born in 2013, when Kilchoman first vatted a whole batch entirely from sherry casks and gave it its own name. Since then it has become the distillery's standing annual sherry release — a counterpoint to the more bourbon-driven Machir Bay. The 2025 edition is built from selected oloroso sherry casks and is the first Loch Gorm to carry a fixed 10 year age statement, giving the whisky extra depth and a noticeably rounder character than earlier batches.

Where Kilchoman's standard releases lean on citrus freshness and coastal smoke, Loch Gorm flips the script: the sherry's dried fruit and spice arrive first, while the peat smoke works underneath as a dark undercurrent. The result is a sherry bomb that never loses touch with Islay.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Raisins, prunes and dark marmalade meet toasted nuts and a hint of leather. The peat smoke sits deep beneath the fruit, alongside a touch of cinnamon and orange.

    Palate

Full and round, with the sherry's sweetness and spice arriving first, followed by dark chocolate, dates and a growing wave of Islay smoke that ties everything together.

    Finish

Long, warm and dry towards the end, with lingering smoke, toasted almonds and a final trace of dark marmalade.

  • Bottle of Kilchoman Maury Cask Matured Islay Single Malt Whisky with deep crimson colour
    Item no.: 0595559-96697

Crimson in the glass, black as peat smoke in spirit. Kilchoman played with fire when they filled new-make spirit into French Maury casks — sweet fortified wine from Roussillon against Islay's raw peat smoke. It could have gone wrong. It didn't.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Maury Cask Matured is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, fully matured in French Maury fortified wine casks and bottled at 50 %.

Maury is a naturally sweet fortified wine from Roussillon in southern France, made mainly from overripe Grenache Noir grapes — a cask type almost never seen in Scotch whisky. Kilchoman didn't just finish this whisky in Maury casks. The spirit spent its entire maturation in them, and that is the crucial difference: where a finish only adds a thin coat of flavour, the Maury casks here were allowed to work all the way through, pulling the whisky towards a dark, fruit-sweet character from day one.

The release is part of the Uniquely Islay Series 2026 and is the distillery's first ever Maury bottling. It draws on a vatting of 19 casks filled in 2021, bottled at natural colour without chill filtration. The result is one of the darkest Kilchomans to date — almost blood red in the glass, which is highly unusual for an Islay Single Malt.

Kilchoman is Scotland's only true farm distillery. They grow part of their own barley at Rockside Farm, floor malt it themselves, and complete every step from grain to bottle on the island. The citrus freshness that always lurks beneath Kilchoman's smoke is exactly what keeps the Maury sweetness here in check and stops it tipping into the jammy.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Dates, raisins and fig jam arrive first, followed by dark honey and syrup. Beneath the sweet, almost meaty fruit sits soft peat smoke, orange peel and a whisper of cocoa and dark cherries.

    Palate

The Islay smoke steps in straight away. Pipe tobacco and dark chocolate lie over waves of syrup, stewed fruit and warm spice, while marmalade and liquorice appear midway and toasted oak gives structure.

    Finish

Long and generous, with peat smoke wrapped in dark fruit and soft toffee. Finishes with a flick of orange peel and dry oak spice — sweet and dry at the same time.

Port wine from the Douro Valley meets peat smoke from Islay's west coast — two landscapes that couldn't be more different, united in the same bottle. Port Cask Matured 2024 Edition is one of Kilchoman's most fruit-driven releases.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Port Cask Matured 2024 Edition is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in ex-port wine casks and bottled at 50 %.

Port is a fortified wine from the Douro Valley in northern Portugal, known for its deep, dark fruit character. The casks that held it bring a lovely sweetness and depth to Kilchoman's spirit, layering on top of the distillery's classic peated Islay profile.

The combination of port's fruit sweetness and Kilchoman's citrus-fresh peat smoke gives a whisky that feels both familiar and surprising at the same time — a balance between peat and fruit that few other cask types manage to strike quite this precisely.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fruity notes of cherry and blackberry meet smoke, spice and a light sweetness from the port cask.

    Palate

Round and creamy, with dark berry fruit, dried fruit and a growing, warm peat smoke that ties the flavour together.

Take Sanaig's sherry-driven balance, remove the water, and let the cask speak completely unfiltered. Sanaig Cask Strength 2024 Edition is the most intense version of Kilchoman's sherry-forward core release.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength 2024 Edition is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled at cask strength, 57.8 %.

Where the standard Sanaig is bottled at 46 %, this edition is bottled straight from the casks with no water added. That gives a markedly more powerful and concentrated experience of the same sherry-focused recipe — a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks that normally balances Sanaig's profile.

The higher strength means both the sweetness from the sherry casks and the peat smoke from Islay come through more clearly, making this release ideal for those wanting a more intense version of an already familiar whisky.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Powerful sherry sweetness meets a distinct, almost sharp peat smoke, with notes of dried fruit, vanilla and lightly spiced oak.

    Palate

    Item no.: 22225555-24

Sauternes is one of the world's most celebrated dessert wines — sweet, golden and shaped by what the French call noble rot. Kilchoman brought the casks home and let Islay's peat smoke meet a sweetness that usually belongs in a wine glass after dinner.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Sauternes Cask Matured 2024 Edition is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in ex-Sauternes casks and bottled at 50 %.

Sauternes from the Bordeaux region is made from grapes affected by Botrytis cinerea, the noble rot that concentrates the sugar and creates an intensely honeyed wine. The casks carry that character into the whisky as creamy, almost buttery aromas and ripe, tropical fruit notes.

That combination meets Kilchoman's classic coastal peat smoke, and it is exactly the meeting of soft and raw that makes this release special: the sweetness never holds the smoke down, but instead unfolds around it.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Creamy, almost buttery aromas of ripe fruit mix with fresh sea air and a discreet but clear peat smoke.

    Palate

Rich caramel melts into grilled pineapple and delicate floral notes, while complex layers of tropical and candied fruit meet a touch of ginger and integrated peat smoke.

    Item no.: 2222786557-4123

11 years is a long time for a distillery that in its early years was mainly known for 3 year old releases. This sherry-matured bottling shows what happens when Kilchoman's peat smoke gets the time sherry casks need to reach their full depth.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Sherry Cask Release is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 11 years old, matured in sherry casks and bottled at 50 %.

Kilchoman is one of the youngest distilleries on Islay, founded in 2005, but has quickly established a style that combines classic Islay peat smoke with modern craftsmanship. This 11 year old sherry-matured release is an example of how longer maturation in sherry casks can add extra depth and complexity to the distillery's characteristic peated profile.

With over a decade in cask, the whisky has had time to settle and develop a noticeably more complex character than many of the house's younger sherry releases, without losing the freshness that defines Kilchoman's style.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Rich dried fruit, raisins and dates, with warm spice and a hint of citrus.

    Palate

Full and balanced, where the sherry's sweetness and spice meet Islay's characteristic peat smoke, with layers of nuts, dark chocolate and fresh citrus.

    Item no.: 22227865411-10

Before Machir Bay got its name and its permanent spot in the range, Kilchoman released whisky in seasonal glimpses — one release for spring, another for summer. Spring 2011 is one of the last chapters in that era, before the distillery found its steady course.

    Expert's description

Kilchoman Spring 2011 Release is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled at 46 %.

In the years following its 2005 founding, Kilchoman regularly released small, season-named bottlings — Autumn 2009, Spring 2010, Summer 2010, Winter 2010 and finally Spring 2011 — each a snapshot from a distillery still finding its identity. All sold out shortly after launch.

In 2012, Kilchoman decided to gather its standard release under one name, Machir Bay, and the season-named releases became history. Spring 2011 is therefore one of the last bottles from this period still to be found.

    Expert Description

Kurayoshi The Matsui Sakura Cask is a Single Malt Japanese Whisky, bottled at 48%.

The whisky is produced by Matsui Shuzo, a distillery in Tottori prefecture with roots dating back to 1910, when the company started as a sake brewery. The Sakura Cask expression is finished in casks made of Japanese cherry wood, a technique that is both rare and demanding, as cherry wood is difficult to shape into casks.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Cherry blossom, almond and a light sweet spice.

    Palate

Soft with honey, marzipan and a delicate fruitiness.

  • Lagg Distillery Manzanilla Sherry Finish Isle of Arran Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70 cl 57,6%
    Item no.: 222785479-4511

The southern tip of Arran is not a gentle place to build a distillery. The wind comes straight off Kilbrannan Sound, and peat sits thick in the ground around Kilmory. That rawness is what Lagg has built its name on – and now it meets something entirely different: the pale, salty world of Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

    Expert's Description

Lagg Manzanilla Sherry Finish Small Batch is an Islands Single Malt Scotch Whisky, first matured in 1st and 2nd fill Bourbon casks before being finished in 1st fill Manzanilla Sherry casks for over a year, bottled at 57.6%. It's the distillery's second small batch release, following 2025's Palo Cortado Small Batch, and another step in Lagg's ongoing exploration of unusual Sherry cask types for its heavily peated spirit. Manzanilla isn't like most other Sherries – it's produced exclusively in the small coastal town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where it matures under a protective layer of flor yeast right on the Atlantic. That gives it a paler, drier and fresher style than something like Oloroso or PX, with a touch of salt and almond rarely allowed anywhere near peated whisky. Peated to 50 ppm, non-chill filtered and free of added colour, Lagg hasn't held back – only 2,000 bottles exist of this release.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Sweet syrup and maraschino cherry arrive first, carried by a gentle warmth that hints at what's underneath. Beneath it, a thread of smoke that never quite fades.

    Palate

Hot honey meets spiced red fruit and cherry syrup, while a salted minerality cuts through the sweetness and keeps everything tight.

    Finish

Long, dry and warming, with ashy bonfire smoke and a faint brine that recalls the sea just outside the distillery's windows.

    Did you know?

Graham Omand, Lagg's current distillery manager, learned the trade as a stillman at Arran's Lochranza distillery – under his own uncle, former master distiller James MacTaggart. That knowledge came with him seven years ago, when he set out to build an entirely new distillery from scratch on the island's southern tip.

Medium. Palo Cortado is the rarest sherry style, and a Small Batch release on exactly this cask type from a newer distillery like Lagg is not easily recreated.

    Did you know?

Palo Cortado is the rarest of all sherry styles, because it begins its life ageing as a Fino before unexpectedly developing a character that leads the cellar master to reclassify it as an Oloroso.
