  • Bottle of Port Charlotte PMC:01 from Bruichladdich Cask Exploration series
    Item no.: 059763-615-235

Islay speaks with many voices, but Port Charlotte's is deep, briny and thick with tar. PMC:01 is the sixth release in the distillery's Cask Exploration series, where the peated Islay character meets the fruit-laden oak of Pomerol wine casks for the very first time.

    Expert description

Port Charlotte 2013 PMC:01 is a peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, first matured in bourbon casks and later finished in French Pomerol wine casks, bottled at 54.5%.

Port Charlotte is Bruichladdich distillery's peated single malt, distilled on the same Victorian equipment on Islay's west coast as the distillery's unpeated core range, but taken to a far higher phenol level. PMC:01 is made from Concerto barley peated to 40 ppm and is the sixth bottling in the Cask Exploration series, where the distillery studies what different cask types do to the same peated spirit.

The whisky was distilled in 2013 and spent its first four years in first-fill bourbon casks, before being moved in 2017 into Pomerol wine casks from Bordeaux's Right Bank, one of the world's most sought-after red wine regions. It's the first time Port Charlotte spirit has been allowed to mature in this cask type, and the result is a whisky where salty Islay peat meets dark berries and tanned leather from the wine casks.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Blackberry, plum and tanned leather sit on top of a solid base of peat smoke and brine. A tart edge of red berries, a touch of rose and a whisper of honey soften the maritime weight.

    Palate

Dry smoke and salt water arrive first, quickly followed by dark berries, clove and a deep, leathery tannin from the wine casks. The fruit is sweet without tipping into sugariness, and the peat keeps everything grounded with an earthy weight.

    Finish

Long and smoky, with a finish of dried plums, spiced clove and a whisper of ash that lingers well after the last sip.

  • Bottle of Port Charlotte PC6 from Bruichladdich, an early peated release
    Item no.: 22227865414-112

PC6 is one of the early Port Charlotte releases, from a time when the series was still finding its shape. Distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2007, it shows the young, raw power that set the direction for the house's peated style.

    Expert description

Port Charlotte PC6 is a peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bruichladdich, matured for 6 years and bottled at 61.6%.

PC6 is one of the early numbered Port Charlotte releases, peated to 40 ppm and distilled in 2001, shortly after Bruichladdich was revived as a distillery. The whisky was bottled in 2007 after 6 years of maturation, at a high natural cask strength of 61.6%.

The young age combined with the high strength gives a raw, intense peat character, setting it apart from later, more rounded Port Charlotte releases with longer maturation.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Direct peat smoke and sea salt, with a young, grainy sweetness and a hint of citrus beneath the smoke.

    Palate

Powerful and raw with intense peat, black pepper and an oily, full texture carried by the high strength.

    Finish

  • Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey 46%
    Item no.: 2225426-5010

There's a particular kind of light that pours out of Málaga, and somehow it found its way into this glass. Redbreast has always known its way around a sherry butt — this time it went looking for sunshine instead.

    Expert's Description

Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition is a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, first matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oloroso sherry casks, then finished for 16 months in Moscatel wine casks, bottled at 46%.

It's the fifth release in the acclaimed Iberian Series, and the first ever to use a Moscatel finish. The casks come from Bodegas Quitapenas in Málaga, a family-run bodega with roots stretching back to 1880, now led by fifth-generation custodians Marta Suárez Prieto and Víctor Suárez Onrubia. The Moscatel wine itself spent 24 months in American oak before the casks were emptied and shipped on to Midleton Distillery, where they've been shaping Redbreast's pot still spirit since June 2024.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Fresh and floral, with zesty tangerine and orange peel, dustings of nutmeg and a base of rich, creamy vanilla oak.

    Palate

Vibrant, ripe fruit meets toffee and honeycomb, with subtle dried herbs running underneath and the oak keeping everything anchored.

    Finish

Long and spiced, with the classic pot still character and a wine-seasoned sweetness that lingers well after the last sip.

    Expert description

Reinheart Rye Whiskey Cask #2 2022 is a Danish Rye Whiskey at 56.8%, distilled in Germany in 2015 and bottled in December 2022 as a Single Cask from Cask #2, in a limited run of 250 numbered bottles. Expert description

Sall Whisky Inaugural Release 2022 is a Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 52.2% from Sall Whisky in Djursland, Jutland. • Bottle of Sall Whisky 5 Year Fondillon Cask Organic Single Malt Danish Whisky
    Item no.: 05555-74123

Fondillón is the wine of kings — produced in tiny quantities near Alicante in Spain, rarely seen beyond the Iberian peninsula. Maturing Danish whisky in these casks is not merely an experiment. It is the world's first distillery bottling of whisky finished in Fondillón casks — and it was made in Denmark.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky 5 Year Fondillon Cask is a Danish Single Malt Whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in rare Fondillón casks from Alicante, bottled at 55.4% Vol. This is a historic release: World First Ex-Fondillón Distillery Bottling.

Fondillón is an oxidative red wine from the Monastrell grape, produced exclusively in the Alicante region in quantities so small that it rarely reaches international markets. Sall Whisky is a Single Farm Single Malt distillery near Ebeltoft in Central Jutland with full control over barley, malting and maturation. The result is a 100% organic Danish whisky at 55.4% with a wine cask profile never previously seen in Danish whisky history. 340 bottles, no chill filtration, no colouring added.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Dried orange peel and dark raisins from the Fondillón cask, with hints of fig and old wine cellar. Beneath the wine character lies Sall Whisky's clean malt and a gentle nutty sweetness.

    Palate

Powerful and vinous with dark dried fruit, orange and a suggestion of dark chocolate. Malt and oak provide a steady foundation as the Fondillón cask takes clear command.

    Finish

Long and lingering with dried fruits and a fine tannin grip from the Fondillón wine. Warm and complex — unlike almost anything else in Danish whisky.

Medium. 340 bottles worldwide and a documented "world first" in a growing Danish whisky category makes this of clear interest to collectors. Fondillón casks are extremely rare and repeat releases are highly unlikely.

    Did you know?

Fondillón is documented in historical records from the 16th century, when it was served at European royal courts — hence the name "Wine of Kings". Today it is produced by only a handful of bodegas in the Alicante region, and Sall Whisky is the first distillery in the world to have bottled a distillate matured in these very casks.

  • Bottle of Sall Whisky Forhandlernes Fad #1 Oloroso Cask Single Malt Danish Whisky
    Item no.: 2227822-741

Cask number one. Sall Whisky's first retailer single cask – bottled from a single oloroso sherry cask for the retailers who wanted to be first with an exclusive edition of the North Jutland single farm malt.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky Forhandlernes Fad #1 Oloroso Cask is a Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 50.3% from Sall Whisky in Djursland. It is the distillery's first "retailer cask" – a single cask chosen and bottled specifically for selected retailers. The cask is an oloroso sherry cask, which adds a sweet, nutty sherry character with dark fruits and dried grapes to Sall Whisky's organic single farm malt. 50.3% is a good strength to show the sherry cask's nuances without losing the malt's grain character.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

The oloroso sherry's sweet, nutty character meets Sall Whisky's clean Jutland single farm malt. Dried grapes, hazelnut and a light spiciness from the sherry cask.

    Palate

50.3% gives a good balance. The sherry cask's sweetness and nuts are clear, but the grain base is still visible – lightly fruity and organic beneath the classic oloroso character.

    Finish

Long and warm with oloroso sherry's nutty and lightly sweet close.

    Specifications

Name: Sall Whisky Forhandlernes Fad #1

    Flavour profile

Sherry · Nutty · Dried fruit · Single Cask

    Investment potential

Medium. Single cask bottling from a limited retailer cask programme – Forhandlernes Fad #1 exists in one cask's volume.

    Did you know?

Oloroso is one of the driest sherry styles – it is made without the protective biological flor film that characterises fino and manzanilla, and instead oxidises slowly. This gives oloroso casks a dense, nutty and sweet profile that is easily recognisable in whisky. For Sall Whisky's clean single farm malt, it is an exciting partnership.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky Founders Cask no 1 Kåre is a Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 55.1% from Sall Whisky in Djursland, Jutland. It is the distillery's first founders cask – a single cask bottled and named after founder Kåre as a personal marker of the distillery's history. 55.1% is a high strength that gives direct and undiluted access to the cask and malt character. The bottle is 50 cl – slightly smaller than standard – and was bottled in very limited numbers.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

55.1% cask strength gives intensity. Sall Whisky's clean organic single farm malt is central, with the cask character clear over the grain base. Fruity and lightly spiced.

    Expert description

Slyrs 2003 is a German Single Malt Whisky distilled at Slyrs in Schliersee, Bavaria. The story begins in 1994, when master brewer Florian Stetter was on a study trip to Scotland and made a bet with his colleagues that first-class whisky could be distilled in the heart of Bavaria. He won the bet, and in 1999 the first Slyrs Single Malt was distilled. • Bottle of Smögen 2013/2023 Adelphi Selection Swedish Single Malt Whisky
    Item no.: 059763-615-657

On Sweden's west coast, where the Skagerrak meets land by the tiny fishing village of Smögen, a lawyer with a taste for smoke distils his own spirit in one small copper still. This ten-year-old single cask left that still in 2013, was bottled by independent bottler Adelphi Selection in 2023, and only 232 bottles exist.

    The Expert's Description

Smögen 2013/2023 Adelphi Selection is a Swedish Single Malt Whisky matured in a first-fill bourbon cask and bottled at 58.1%.

Smögen distillery was founded in 2009 by lawyer and whisky author Pär Caldenby, who insisted on one thing from the start: the whisky had to be heavily peated. Production runs in small batches through a single, small copper still, giving the distiller tight control over every batch and a result packed with character.

This particular release was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 after ten years of maturation in cask #58, a first-fill bourbon cask selected by Adelphi Selection's team for its series of independent bottlings. The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, and with only 232 bottles released, it belongs to whoever is quick and curious enough to find it.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dry smoke meets fresh bourbon vanilla, with sea salt and tarred rope close behind. Underneath sits a sweetness of honey and ripe pear that keeps the smoke from taking over entirely.

    Palate

Powerful and cask-strength intense from the first sip, with smoke, black pepper and burnt sugar in tight interplay. The bourbon cask shows clearly through vanilla and coconut, while coastal salt adds a maritime edge.

    Finish

Long and warm, with lingering smoke, toasted oak and a dry, ashy close that invites another sip.

    Did You Know?

    Item no.: 22227865434-23

At the far end of the Mull of Kintyre, where the Atlantic rolls into Campbeltown Loch, sits a distillery that still does things the old way. No shortcuts, no outsourcing - just barley, fire and patience.

    Expert Description

Springbank 15 Year Old is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Springbank, predominantly matured in sherry casks and bottled at 46%.

Springbank is the only distillery in Scotland that handles the entire process from malting to bottling itself, on the same site, by the same hands. The barley is floor malted, dried over the distillery's own kiln and distilled 2.5 times: part of the spirit is distilled twice, another part three times, and the two streams are blended afterwards. The 15 year old is a permanent fixture of the core range, and its predominantly sherry-cask maturation gives the whisky a dark, rich colour and a fullness of dried fruit and spice. The distillery was founded in 1828 and remains family owned by the Mitchell family, making it Scotland's oldest independent distillery.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dark chocolate, demerara sugar and Christmas cake meet toasted almonds and a hint of charred oak, with a whisper of rope and sea spray underneath.

    Palate

Creamy and full-bodied with raisin bread, figs, marzipan and Brazil nuts. The sweetness is kept in check by a light smoke note and a touch of pepper.

    Finish

Long and warm, with sherry and oak lingering well after the last sip, rounded off by a faint, peaty smoke.

Springbank Vintage 1994 31 Year Old is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 1994, matured in a combination of bourbon, sherry and red wine casks and bottled at 45.1%.

Springbank is the distillery whisky nerds speak of in hushed tones, located in Campbeltown, the small whisky district that once had over 30 distilleries and today has only three left. Springbank is the only distillery in Scotland that still does everything itself, from floor malting to bottling. With only 1,180 bottles worldwide and a cask makeup of 80% bourbon, 10% sherry and 10% red wine, this is an early part of a series that could well become a lasting, sought-after annual tradition.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dried pineapple and mango meet ripe melon and honey, with Springbank's earthy, old-fashioned character and a hint of sandalwood underneath.

    Palate

Caramelised lemon meringue and a creamy texture reminiscent of custard. Mango and pineapple return, this time wrapped in oak and a touch of caramelised popcorn.

    Finish

Earthy and long, with coconut, fresh basil and a hint of characteristic Scottish heather moor.

    Investment Potential

High - official Springbank bottlings with long maturation and low bottle counts traditionally trade at several times their original release price shortly after launch, and demand for the distillery's older releases has only grown in recent years.

    Did You Know?

Springbank is the only distillery in Scotland that carries out 100% of the production process on its own site, and it distils its whisky "two and a half times", a technique no other distillery uses.

    Item no.: 505956-498796-321

Rundlets and Kilderkins are the small, forgotten cask sizes the whisky world rarely talks about - but they make a clear difference when Springbank puts them to use.

    Expert Description

Springbank Rundlets & Kilderkins 2001/2012 is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in November 2001, bottled in January 2012 at 49.4%.

Rundlets and Kilderkins are small wooden casks with a capacity of around 68 litres, which were historically sold directly to the local gentry of Campbeltown. The small size of the casks ensures more contact between whisky and oak during maturation, accelerating the process so the whisky presents as more mature than its actual age suggests. A total of 9,000 bottles were released of this edition, unfiltered and without added colour.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Bold oak character meets dried fruit and a hint of spice from the accelerated cask contact.

    Palate

Full and oak-driven with caramel and spiced vanilla, carried by an oily Springbank structure.

    Finish

Long and spiced, with a lingering oak note that slowly gives way to a lightly salty close.

    Did You Know?

Rundlets and Kilderkins are markedly smaller than the standard casks most distilleries use, and the names come from old English cask measures historically used to sell whisky directly to local customers.

  • Bottle of Springbank Local Barley 10 Year Old 2022 from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown
    Item no.: 22227865479-1106-197280036

Local Barley is Springbank's tribute to the ground the whisky comes from - barley grown right in the Campbeltown area, rather than the standardised grain most distilleries use.

    Expert Description

Springbank Local Barley 10 Year Old 2022 Edition is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled from locally grown barley and bottled at full cask strength, 51.6%.

The Local Barley range is one of Springbank's most sought-after, because it uses barley grown specifically in the area surrounding Campbeltown, unlike the distillery's standard releases. Only a very limited quantity has reached the Danish market, and the whisky is bottled without filtration or added colour, so everything the ground and the cask have given it remains in the glass.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Fresh barley and a light earthiness meet a sweetness of honey and ripe apples, with a hint of sea salt behind it.

    Palate

Bold and cereal-driven, with notes of caramel and a lightly oily structure that carries the high strength well.

    Finish

Long and lightly spiced, with a lingering sweetness that slowly gives way to a dry, salty close.

Medium - the Local Barley range is among Springbank's most sought-after releases, and the limited quantity that has reached the Danish market makes this 2022 edition an attractive bottle for collectors.

    Did You Know?

The Local Barley range uses barley grown specifically in and around Campbeltown rather than the standardised Scottish grain, giving each vintage its own distinct terroir.

  • Bottle of Springbank 25 Year Old Single Cask from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown
    Item no.: B22227865434-1046

One single cask, 25 years, and only 130 bottles - the kind of arithmetic that makes collectors sit up. Springbank 25 Year Old Single Cask is an independent bottling without equal.

    Expert Description

Springbank 25 Year Old Single Cask is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 1991, matured in a Hogshead cask and bottled at full cask strength, 49.7%.

The whisky comes from a single Hogshead cask, cask number 13/127-21 (414), and a full 25 years of maturation yielded just 130 bottles. As an independent bottling without filtration or added colour, this release shows Springbank in its most unfiltered and personal form.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Old oak and dried fruit meet a hint of sea air and beeswax.

    Palate

Full and complex, with caramel, spice and a lightly oily structure that carries the high strength elegantly.

    Finish

Long and warm, with a lingering oak note that slowly gives way to a dry, salty close.

    Investment Potential

High - with only 130 bottles from a single cask and 25 years of maturation, this independent bottling ranks among the rarest Springbank releases on the market.

    Did You Know?

A Hogshead is one of the most common cask formats in Scotch whisky production, but when a single cask like this one yields only 130 bottles after 25 years, it clearly shows how much whisky evaporates as the "angels' share" over such a long time.

  • Bottle of Springbank 26 Year Old Single Cask Juuls 100th Anniversary from Campbeltown
    Item no.: 5059288-96322

There is ice in the air over the Kintyre peninsula, and behind Springbank's walls, time has been allowed to work quietly. This bottle comes from a single cask, filled in October 1999, when no one knew it would end up marking a hundred years of Danish wine trading.

    Expert Description

Springbank 26 Year Old Single Cask Juuls 100th Anniversary is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in October 1999, matured in a first-fill sherry cask and later a refill bourbon cask, and bottled at natural cask strength, 44.1%.

The whisky rested for 20 years in the sherry cask before being transferred in 2019 to the refill bourbon cask, where it matured for a further six years. The cask yielded exactly 108 bottles. The release marks the 100th anniversary of Juuls Vin & Spiritus, which has imported Springbank to the Danish market since 1926, and was first presented at an anniversary tasting in January 2026.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dried figs, raisins and a touch of sherry sweetness mix with salty sea air and a hint of beeswax, with a light smokiness underneath.

    Palate

Full and lightly oily, with caramelised sugar, dark chocolate and ripe stone fruit. Six years in the bourbon cask has softened the edges and added vanilla and toasted oak.

    Finish

Long, salty and lightly dry, with a closing hint of spiced ginger and a lingering smokiness.

  • Bottle of Springbank 30 Year Old 2022 Release from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown
    Item no.: 222255555444478-1

Some whisky you buy. Some you pass down. Springbank 30 Year Old belongs to the second kind - a bottle that waited quietly in cask while three decades passed outside the warehouse walls in Campbeltown.

    Expert Description

Springbank 30 Year Old 2022 Release is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 1992, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and bottled at 46%.

This whisky sits at the oldest end of the distillery's core range, and the 2022 release draws on a cask makeup of roughly 85% ex-bourbon and 15% ex-sherry casks. Three decades in wood have brought a depth and roundness that only comes with time, layered on top of Springbank's signature 2.5 times distillation, which gives the whisky its oily, complex style.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dried apricot and beeswax arrive first, followed by old oak and a touch of salted caramel.

    Palate

Full and oily with layers of honey, toasted almonds and a dark, dry sherry note that ties it all together.

    Finish

Long and dry, with a final hint of sea air and old oak lingering well after the last sip.
