  The whisky is 5½ years old and the oldest release from Sall to date. The mezcal cask adds a fresh, green and lightly mineral profile, where bright malt meets warm notes of agave, lime, honey and vanilla. The aroma opens with pear, citrus and oak, while the palate is soft, light and nuanced with a dry, clear and elegant finish. It is a meeting of north and south, where grain from eastern Jutland and South American cactus create a lively and unexpected whisky experience.

  Lady of the Glen has wanted to collaborate with Steven since they saw his contemporary illustration of Tam O’Shanter at the Fife Whisky Festival. His use of color and detail was both a feast for the eyes and unsettling in a good way. They decided to celebrate Scotland’s Samhain festival by pairing richly illustrated Scottish stories with distilleries from the same regions.
