  • The Jane Street Collection The Smokey One Woodrows of Edinburgh Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 48,5%
    Item no.: 222233-8549

The Jane Street Collection The Smokey One Woodrow’s of Edinburgh Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 48.5%

The Jane Street Collection The Smokey One from Woodrow’s of Edinburgh is an Islay single malt bottled at 48.5%, created as a tribute to the smoky whisky tradition that has made the island famous. The series is built around clear sensory themes, and The Smoky One is the most uncompromising expression in the collection: a whisky where peat smoke takes centre stage without losing balance, finesse or complexity.

The whisky comes from a undisclosed Islay distillery, selected for its ability to deliver the classic combination of sea salt, peat smoke and deep malt character. Woodrow’s of Edinburgh works as an independent bottler and is known for choosing casks that express both the distillery’s DNA and their own philosophy of producing pure, honest and unadulterated whiskies.

  • The London Distillery English Rye Whiskey LV-1767 bottle
    Item no.: 22227865458-8850

Under a railway arch in Bermondsey, rye whiskey was distilled in London for the first time in over a hundred years. LV-1767 is the result: a small, hand-counted run of bottles named after a distilling dream from 1767 that never quite happened - until now.

    Expert's Description

The London Distillery English Rye Whiskey LV-1767 Edition is an English rye whiskey matured in English oak casks and bottled at 54.3% ABV.

The name LV-1767 refers to the Lea Valley Distillery, founded in 1767 and closed in 1903 - until then the last place in London where whisky was distilled. When The London Distillery Company bottled its first rye whiskey in 2018, it marked the first time in more than a hundred years that London could again claim a finished whiskey of its own. The rye was double distilled and filled into new English oak casks for four years, from 2014 to 2018.

Only 251 bottles of this first release exist, each one individually numbered. The distillery, based in a railway arch on Druid Street in Bermondsey, went into administration in 2020 but was revived under new ownership in 2025 - making early releases like this one a small, closed chapter in English whiskey history.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dark chocolate and roasted coffee meet a spiced sweetness of cinnamon, stewed peaches and a touch of beeswax.

    Palate

Full-bodied and spicy, with rye's characteristic peppery bite carried by the same cinnamon and stone-fruit sweetness found on the nose.

    Finish

Long and dry, with white pepper, dark cherry and a late hint of macadamia nut.

Edition: LV-1767, The London Distillery Company's first release

    Flavour Profile

Spicy · Roasted · Stone fruit · Peppery

    Investment Potential

Medium. Only 251 numbered bottles from the distillery's very first release, and the distillery itself stood idle for years after going into administration before finding new owners. That combination of low bottle count and an interrupted production history makes this an interesting bottle for collectors of English whisky.

    Did You Know?

The rye for LV-1767 was double distilled rather than single distilled, unlike most American rye whiskeys - a method borrowed from Scotch and Irish tradition that yields a cleaner, more fruit-driven spirit.

  • Macallan A Night on Earth The First Light Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
    Item no.: 059763-6333

Scotland at dawn. Bonnie Brown captured it in her illustration — that soft light, the quiet hour. Macallan has bottled it in a whisky that smells of morning and tastes of everything good the day holds.

    Expert description

Macallan A Night on Earth The First Light is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in sherry seasoned oak casks and ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 43%. The bottle is part of Macallan's Night on Earth series, celebrating artistic collaboration — illustrator Bonnie Brown drew the label and gave the whisky its visual language. "The First Light" is the Scottish edition in the series, dedicated to Scotland's morning culture and the particular light that falls across the Speyside region at dawn.

In terms of flavour, it lands in the sweet and fruity corner, with the classic contribution of sherry casks: stewed fruits, caramel and a soft, cake-like sweetness. This is an accessible Macallan — one that doesn't require experience to appreciate.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Toasted sweet oak and caramelised marshmallows, with icing sugar and vanilla. Berry compote and Manuka honey add freshness and depth.

    Palate

Caramel and baking spices with vanilla ice cream and pavlova. Stone fruits, coconut and Manuka honey in a soft, rounded texture.

  • Bottle of The Sandebud by Adelphi Fusion Blended Malt Whisky
    Item no.: 222278652214-8874

Two landscapes, one Scottish and one Swedish, meet in a single glass. The Sandebud is Adelphi's own experiment: a blended malt where a spirit from their own Ardnamurchan distillery marries a spirit from Sweden's High Coast.

    The Expert's Description

The Sandebud by Adelphi is a Blended Malt Whisky combining Ardnamurchan and High Coast, bottled at 58.9%.

Adelphi owns the Ardnamurchan distillery, the westernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland, and with The Sandebud has paired a spirit from there with a spirit from Sweden's High Coast. The result is an unusual fusion that bridges two landscapes and two distilling traditions in one bottle.

The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, and with 1,136 bottles it is the most accessible of Adelphi's special series, without compromising the cask-strength intensity the bottler is known for.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

A combination of freshly cut oak and a hint of smoke, hinting at the two spirits' different origins.

    Palate

Full-bodied and complex with caramel, malt and a light salty, maritime undercurrent that ties the two styles together.

    Finish

Long and warm with a dry, smoky close that lingers for a good while.

  • Bottle of The Whisky Trail Thy Whisky 2020 Vintage Danish Rye Whisky 70 cl
    Item no.: 2222388-7445

2020. A good year for rye in Thy. The Whisky Trail chose to bottle it and put a year on it. Here is the result – a vintage rye whisky from one of Denmark's most locally rooted distilleries.

    Expert description

The Whisky Trail Thy Whisky 2020 Vintage is a Danish Rye Whisky bottled at 50.5% in a 70 cl bottle. Distilled in 2020 from certified organic rye at Thy Whisky Distillery in northwest Jutland and bottled by The Whisky Trail – a respected bottler focused on exceptional distillate releases from Scandinavian and European distilleries. The 2020 vintage stamp places this as a specific harvest from that year.

Bottling with a year gives the whisky a traceability and identity anchor that anonymous releases lack. The rye from 2020 is now a whisky that speaks from a specific place and a specific time in Thy Whisky's history.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fresh rye with spice, light herbs and a natural, earthy sweetness. Authentic and precise.

    Palate

Spiced rye core with light pepper, a little citrus and a softer malt dimension in the background. Well balanced.

    Did you know?

Vintage dating on whisky gives the buyer knowledge of when the grain was harvested and distilled. For single estate distilleries like Thy Whisky, which grow their own grain, this is particularly meaningful – the character of the crop varies year by year depending on weather and growing conditions.

    Item no.: 2222388-7447

In an old wireworks beside the River Derwent, surrounded by Derbyshire's UNESCO-listed industrial heritage, White Peak Distillery brews and distils a malt that borrows as much from brewing craft as from whisky tradition. This bottling was selected by Sukhinder Singh for Elixir Distillers' series The Whisky Trail and shows the distillery's style as it stood in its early years.

    Expert's Description

The Whisky Trail White Peak Distillery 2018 Vintage is a Single Malt English Whisky matured in first fill bourbon casks and bottled at 52.4%.

White Peak Distillery was founded in 2016 by husband and wife Max and Claire Vaughan in the former Johnson & Nephew wireworks in Ambergate, within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. The distillery ferments with both brewer's yeast from local brewer Thornbridge and traditional distiller's yeast, and part of the mash is made from lightly peated malt, giving the spirit a discreet smoky undertone beneath its fresh, fruity core. This bottling was distilled in 2018, bottled in 2025 from a small batch of four first fill bourbon casks, and is limited to 1,254 bottles.

The Whisky Trail is part of Elixir Trails, where Sukhinder Singh — co-founder of Elixir Distillers and one of the whisky world's most respected bottlers — selects single distilleries for their craft and character rather than name or hype.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

The nose offers vanilla and soft caramel from the bourbon cask, backed by a faint smoky undertone and fresh apples.

    Palate

The palate is fruity with ripe pear and citrus peel, while a soft malty sweetness and a hint of smoke add depth without taking over.

    Finish

The finish is medium in length and spiced, with a final trace of wood smoke and vanilla powder.

    Item no.: 22278333-7412

One day there was no Thornæs 1st Release. Then there was. That is how it feels with the first bottles from a new distillery – and Thornæs Distillery in North Zealand's 1st Release is exactly that: the beginning.

    Expert description

Thornæs 1st Release is an organic Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 50.9% from Thornæs Distillery in North Zealand. It is the distillery's very first official whisky release – the historic bottle that marks the moment a distillery goes from being new to having a history. Thornæs is an organic distillery in North Zealand working with local ingredients and small batch production. The 1st Release came in 50 cl at 50.9% – a clean, naturally bottled expression from the first casks. As a 1st Release, the bottle is now historic for everyone following Danish whisky.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fresh and organic with the clear North Zealand distillate at the centre. Lightly fruity with the imprint of organic grain and early maturation.

    Palate

50.9% gives body and weight. The early maturation is noticeable, but the distillate quality is clear – clean, fruity and with potential for what comes after in the distillery's future releases.

    Finish

Fresh and relatively short – a young distillery's signature rather than long maturation.

    Investment potential

High. A 1st Release from a distillery is by definition a rare historic bottle – there is no second first release. Thornæs 1st Release is the bottle that marks the start of an organic Danish distillery, and it is no longer in production.

    Did you know?

First releases from new distilleries tend to rise in collector value over time – not necessarily because the whisky is the best bottle the distillery will ever make, but because they represent a unique historic moment. Thornæs 1st Release is the very concrete proof that one day, organic whisky started being distilled in North Zealand.

    Expert description

Thornæs Chestnut Double Cask is an organic Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 49.4% from Thornæs Distillery in North Zealand. The whisky has been matured in chestnut casks as part of a double cask process – a combination of two cask types that is rare in Danish whisky.
