    Item no.: 22333-9003

Braeval 2010 Little Brown Dog 16 Year Old White Port Barrique Single Speyside Malt Whisky 57.3%

Little Brown Dog has created an unusual and memorable whisky with this bottling from Braeval Distillery – a 16-year-old single malt showcasing just how exciting and elegant a full maturation white port barrique cask can be.

This whisky was distilled on February 2nd, 2010, and bottled on February 11th, 2026, at an impressive 57.3% ABV. White port casks are rarely seen in the whisky world, especially for full-term maturation, which is exactly what makes this release so special. Little Brown Dog has long had a passion for experimenting with unique cask types, and this bottling also carries a personal story for the bottlers, making the project even more meaningful.

The colour is described as “Jurassic Park Amber” – a warm and vibrant amber hue that immediately promises a fruity and full-bodied experience. The nose opens elegantly with honeydew melon, clear gummy bears, and fresh hay, giving the whisky a bright, summery, and almost playful character.

On the palate, green apple skins, tarte aux poires, and quince jelly appear in beautiful balance. The white port cask adds refined fruitiness and a wine-like elegance that enhances the spirit’s natural Speyside character without overpowering it.

The finish is long and creamy with notes of white Burgundy and the kind of quality milk chocolate you never want to share. The result is a whisky with depth, charm, and a truly distinctive profile that stands apart from classic bourbon and sherry maturations.

The label is inspired by Braeval’s location as one of the highest distilleries in Scotland, where the clouds almost become part of the landscape itself. It perfectly suits this airy, elegant, and high-spirited whisky.

Only 332 bottles were produced, making this limited edition an excellent choice for collectors and adventurous whisky enthusiasts looking to experience something rare from the Speyside region.

  • Braunstein and Friends Festival Edition 2014 Gift Set bottle 20 cl
    Item no.: 5059796-166

Braunstein and Friends is more than a product name. It is a snapshot of a collaboration from 2014 — a festival expression that is peated, compact and historic in the sense that it will never be repeated. 20 cl of peated Braunstein from a gathering that is long past.

    Expert description

Braunstein and Friends Festival Edition 2014 Gift Set is a peated Danish Single Malt Whisky at 42%, bottled at 20 cl. The Festival Edition series from Braunstein Destilleri in Køge is released in connection with whisky festivals and is characterised by collaborative bottlings — hence "and Friends". The peated character comes from peated malt, which gives Braunstein's distillate a round, smoke-filled profile. 42% is an approachable strength that brings the smoke to the fore without overwhelming it.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Round smoke and light oak. Sweet malt under the smoke with a hint of sea air and damp stone. Braunstein's characteristic balance is present — this is not aggressive smoke, but a soft and inviting version.

    Palate

Light and approachable at 42%. Peated malt and soft smoke with sweetness from the oak maturation. Light spice and a touch of citrus.

    Finish

Shorter but warm. The smoke lingers and gives way to sweet malt and a lightly salted finish.

  • Bottle of Bruichladdich 18 Year Old The Kinship 2023 from Hunter Laing
    Item no.: 222555-45539

On Islay, they say some casks simply wait for the right moment. This is one of them — 18 years in the dark, ready to be celebrated alongside the island's biggest news.

    Expert description

Bruichladdich 18 Year Old The Kinship 2023 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Hunter Laing, matured in a single cask and bottled at cask strength, 61.5%.

The whisky is part of Hunter Laing's Kinship series, which in 2023 arrived at its seventh and final edition. The series was created to mark the opening of Hunter Laing's own distillery, Ardnahoe, on Islay, and the name Kinship refers to the closeness Ardnahoe shares with the island's other distilleries. The Bruichladdich bottling is the youngest in the closing edition, which otherwise spans whiskies as old as 33 years from names like Bowmore and Bunnahabhain.

The whisky comes from a single cask and is bottled at its natural cask strength, with no colouring or chill filtration. Only 245 bottles were drawn from this particular cask, making it one of the rarer releases in Hunter Laing's Islay portfolio.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Black pepper and caramel, combined with a hint of macerated red berries. A richness runs through it all, hinting at the long maturation.

    Palate

Baked apples, nutmeg and a distinct hint of French oak. The cask strength gives a solid bite, but never overpowers the fruit.

    Finish

Long and spiced, with a lingering oak warmth that lingers on the palate long after the last sip.

Medium — this is the final edition in a now-completed and sought-after series from Hunter Laing, with only 245 bottles from a single cask bottled at cask strength. Being the youngest and most accessible bottling in the Kinship series, however, interest is somewhat more muted than for the series' older releases.

    Did you know?

The Kinship series was created to celebrate Hunter Laing finally opening its own distillery, Ardnahoe, after decades as a pure independent bottler. Ardnahoe sits on Islay's north-east coast, overlooking the very distilleries many of the series' bottles come from.

    Item no.: 222355-88888

On the label sits the dunes of Kintra, painted by a Danish artist in memory of his grandfather. Behind that story lie 22 years in a single bourbon cask, the one Little Brown Dog called the jewel of their collection.

    Expert description

Bruichladdich 2003 Little Brown Dog is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured for 22 years in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 53.6%.

The whisky was distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2025 by independent bottler Little Brown Dog, after more than two decades of maturation in a single bourbon cask. The cask was originally part of a parcel of four, but stood out so distinctly in taste, depth and structure according to the bottler that it was purchased on its own.

Only 140 bottles were drawn from this single cask. Each bottle carries an original label featuring an oil painting by Danish artist Bjarne Helverskov Andersen, depicting the dunes at Kintra on Islay, a personal tribute to the artist's grandson, who sold the cask on to Little Brown Dog.

To preserve its raw, authentic character, the whisky is bottled through a 20-micron filter rather than the finer filters typically used, which can leave natural cask sediment in the bottle.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Warm bourbon notes, vanilla and light caramel, with a hint of ripe fruit and citrus oil.

    Palate

Deep, mature and creamy with warm bourbon sweetness, citrus oil and a maritime undercurrent from the Islay coast.

    Finish

Long, full-bodied and oily, with a lingering sweetness and a hint of salt.

    Expert description

Bruichladdich 2010 Islay Barley is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled from locally grown barley and bottled at 50%.

The grain for this release is grown by local farmers on Islay, part of Bruichladdich's ongoing work to show how the island's own soil shapes flavour. The whisky is matured in a combination of American and French oak casks.

The result is an unpeated single malt where the grain's earthy character and the sweetness of the casks play off each other with no peat to complicate the picture.

    Tasting notes

Bruichladdich 21 Year Old Private Cask #1352 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in a bourbon hogshead and bottled at 58.1%.

The cask was filled in 2003 and owned by German whisky enthusiast Hans-G. Lund, before being bottled at full cask strength after 21 years. The whisky shows the distillery's unpeated, fruity and maritime style, lifted by more than two decades of maturation in a single cask.

Around 250 bottles were drawn from this single hogshead, making it a rare opportunity to taste a privately owned Bruichladdich bottling of this age.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Vanilla, citrus oil, fresh oak and a clean, grainy sweetness, gradually joined by ripe stone fruit, honey and a subtle sea breeze.

Some whiskies tell you everything about themselves. Black Art does the opposite. Edition 10.1 is the tenth release in Bruichladdich's most secretive series, where neither the barley nor the cask type is ever revealed, and the mystery is the whole point.

    Expert description

Black Art Edition 10.1 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bruichladdich, matured for 29 years and bottled at 45.1%.

The Black Art series is the distillery's most secretive release. Neither the barley variety, the cask type, nor the exact maturation recipe is ever disclosed, and that's deliberate. The series is about alchemy rather than facts, leaving the interpretation to nose and palate instead of a spec sheet.

Edition 10.1 was bottled in 2022 after 29 years of maturation, an age that gives the whisky a deep, almost shimmering complexity. Non-chill filtered and with natural colour, it stands exactly as the cask has shaped it over nearly three decades.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Dark dried fruit, old oak and a tangy sherry edge, mixed with a touch of wax and smoked tea.

    Palate

Rich and layered with fig, dark chocolate and spiced ginger, slowly giving way to a dry, tannic oak note.

Medium — Black Art is one of Bruichladdich's most sought-after releases among collectors, known for its secret recipe and long maturation. Earlier Black Art editions have historically held their value well once sold out.

    Did you know?

Aside from a very small core team, no one at Bruichladdich knows the full recipe behind Black Art. Even the distillery's own staff can only guess at which casks were used.

  • Bottle of Bruichladdich Bere Barley from Orkney grain, terroir series
    Item no.: 059763-615-236

Orkney grows a grain older than whisky itself. Bere Barley 2012 is Bruichladdich's tribute to this almost-forgotten variety, distilled unpeated and matured for a full decade so the grain's own character can stand entirely on its own.

    Expert description

Bere Barley 2012 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bruichladdich, matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 50%.

Bere is Britain's oldest cultivated grain variety, used by Scottish farmers and distillers for centuries before modern, high-yield barley strains took over the fields. As part of its terroir project, Bruichladdich sourced this barley from the Agronomy Institute at Orkney College to show what a single grain can do for flavour, independent of soil or cask.

The whisky comes from the 2011 harvest, was distilled in 2012 and has spent a full decade on cask, so both the grain and the wood are left to speak for themselves, with no peat to get in the way.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

White grapes, toasted oats and a touch of orris root meet ripe apricot, peach and honey. There's an earthy, cereal base with a whisper of creamy vanilla and nuts.

    Palate

White pepper opens things up, quickly giving way to orange marmalade, peach and nectarine. The texture turns creamy at first, then crisp with malt, vanilla and grain, with a faint salted liquorice note tucked underneath.

    Finish

Savoury and lightly spiced, with notes of warm flatbread, black pepper and a touch of rosemary that lingers.

    Item no.: 22227865479-1106-197280403

Eight farms, one island, one whisky. Islay Barley 2012 brings together grain from across the west and centre of Islay in a single unpeated malt, letting eight years give the grain's own character room to unfold.

    Expert description

Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2012 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured for 8 years and bottled at 50%.

The barley comes from eight different farms across the west and centre of Islay, combined into a single unpeated release. The whisky is matured in a combination of American whiskey casks and French wine casks, together giving a full yet still fresh character.

Distilled in 2012 and matured for eight years, it shows how Bruichladdich lets barley from several farms meet in the same bottle without losing its local, earthy identity.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fresh barley and apple juice, with a sweet vanilla note from the bourbon casks and a hint of grape from the wine casks.

    Palate

Round and full-bodied with honey, toasted malt and a light tart fruitiness that keeps the palate lively.

Another vintage, same philosophy. Islay Barley 2013 continues Bruichladdich's work of combining grain from several Islay farms into one unpeated bottle, this time with a year more behind it than the 2012 release.

    Expert description

Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2013 is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured for 8 years and bottled at 50%.

Like its 2012 predecessor, this release is built on barley from eight different farms across the west and centre of Islay. The whisky is matured in a combination of American whiskey casks and French wine casks.

Distilled in 2013 and matured for eight years, it offers a slightly different balance than the 2012 release, shaped by that specific vintage's weather and harvest.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Sweet grain and ripe apples, with a light nutty note and a hint of grape from the wine casks.

    Palate

Soft and malty with honey, citrus fruit and a gentle spiciness that builds slowly.

    Item no.: 22227865413-18747

Before Port Charlotte had its own name, it was called Loch Indaal. This bottling from Blackadder is a raw, unfiltered trip back to Bruichladdich's early peated style, drawn straight from a single cask.

    Expert description

Bruichladdich Loch Indaal 2007 from Blackadder is a peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured for 10 years and bottled at 63.3%.

Loch Indaal is the name the peated Bruichladdich spirit carried before Port Charlotte became its own brand. The whisky was distilled in 2007 and bottled in August 2018 from a single hogshead, cask number 3413, by independent bottler Blackadder as part of their Raw Cask series.

Only 244 bottles were drawn from this single cask, with no cold filtration and no added colouring, giving a raw and undiluted taste of the peat straight from the wood.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Raw peat smoke and sea salt, with a young, grainy sweetness and a touch of tar.

    Palate

Powerful and direct with intense smoke, black pepper and an oily, full texture from the high cask strength.

    Finish

The Classic Laddie is where most people meet Bruichladdich for the first time. No peat, no age statement, just Scottish barley, distilled and matured on Islay from start to finish.

    Expert description

The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bruichladdich, matured in American oak casks and bottled at 50%.

The whisky is the distillery's flagship without an age statement, blended from several vintages to keep a consistent, unpeated profile. The barley is Scottish, much of it grown on Islay itself, in line with Bruichladdich's terroir philosophy.

Maturation in American oak gives a light sweetness and a full body, without overpowering the bright, floral character that defines the house's unpeated style.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Barley, honey and fresh citrus, with a light maritime undertone and a touch of freshly cut grass.

    Palate

Soft and creamy with vanilla, green apples and a gentle spiciness that keeps the palate fresh throughout.

  • Bottle of Bruichladdich Waves 2nd Edition, a maritime lightly peated Islay whisky
    Item no.: 22227865406-12

There's something honest about a whisky named after the thing that shaped it. Out on the Rhinns of Islay, where the Atlantic constantly pounds the coast, the casks behind Waves have breathed sea air year after year. You can taste it.

    Expert description

Bruichladdich Waves 2nd Edition is a lightly peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in bourbon and Madeira casks and bottled at 46%.

Waves is part of Bruichladdich's multi-vintage series, originally composed by Jim McEwan during his time as master distiller. Bourbon casks lay the foundation with vanilla, malt and light grain, while a Madeira finish brings in sweetness with raisins, dark fruit and a touch of wine spice.

This 2nd Edition dropped the original age statement and arrived in new packaging, but the philosophy stayed the same: show Islay's softer, cleaner side. The peat sits as a quiet undertone rather than a statement, and the result is a dram that grows more maritime the longer it sits in the glass.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fresh and salty with a soft peat smoke. Soaked raisins and vanilla, a green, grassy note and a sweet fruit edge from the Madeira.

    Palate

Malty and round with a good handful of spice. Another wave of vanilla, sweet liquorice in the background and a light minty freshness, polished by oak.

    Finish

Medium length, with salted malt, mild peat and a lightly bitter oak note that lingers alongside sea spray.

Bruichladdich itself calls its multi-vintage bottlings "innovative cuvées", a term borrowed from the wine world. It fits, since Waves isn't tied to one vintage or one cask, but assembled across several so Jim McEwan could chase exactly the balance he was after.
