The whiskey is a so-called wheated-rye whiskey, which consists of 51% corn, a small amount of malted barley and the rest wheat. This gives it a unique flavor profile that differs from the traditional Bourbons as we know them.

The color is beautiful golden. It is rich and bold, but at the same time also light. The flavor notes are both vanilla and caramel - and if you taste it well, you can easily feel the trip across the Atlantic with the lapping of waves and salt water. Delicious!

Matured in new American oak and shipped across the Atlantic in barrels. The bottle on arrival in Denmark.

Knockando 2008 Vintage is a rare and powerful single malt from Speyside, Scotland. It was distilled on November 5, 2008, and bottled on February 7, 2025, by Signatory Vintage as part of their Cask Strength Collection.
Finished in a First Fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead (cask no. 103), the whisky develops a complex and full-bodied character with natural colour and no chill filtration. The alcohol strength of 51.6% delivers an intense flavour profile with depth and balance.
Tasting notes include sweetness from raisins and tropical fruit, combined with syrup, dried ginger, and lightly bitter oak. The finish offers iodine, burnt wood, spice, chocolate, and sherry, resulting in a long and nuanced aftertaste.
