  • Bottle of Rampur Asava Single Malt Whisky with wine cask finish
    Item no.: 059763-615-973

Asava means "grape juice" in Sanskrit, and the name is no coincidence. For the first time in whisky history, Rampur has rested a single malt on Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks, and the result stands apart.

    Expert's description

Rampur Asava Single Malt Indian Whisky is an Indian Single Malt Whisky matured in American bourbon barrels and then finished in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks, bottled at 45%.

The wine cask finish is the first of its kind from Rampur and gives the whisky a wine-like, almost fruit-forward character that balances the classic bourbon sweetness from the first maturation.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

The nose offers red berries and a hint of grape, underpinned by vanilla from the bourbon barrels.

    Palate

The palate is full-bodied with dark berries, a touch of tannin from the wine cask and an underlying caramel sweetness.

    Finish

The finish is long, with a flawless balance between wine-like acidity and soft vanilla.

    Expert's description

Rampur Barrel Blush Single Malt Indian Whisky is an Indian Single Malt Whisky matured in American oak and finished in Australian Shiraz wine casks, bottled at 45%.

The Shiraz casks add a wine-red hue and fruity sweetness that layer on top of the base character from the American oak, giving the whisky a distinctly wine-driven signature.

    Tasting Notes

  • Bottle of Rampur Double Cask Single Malt Whisky from India
    Item no.: 059763-615-972

At the foot of the Himalayas, where the air is thin and the temperature swings are dramatic, Rampur ages a whisky that refuses to choose between America and Europe. Double Cask is the result of that decision.

    Expert's description

Rampur Double Cask Single Malt Indian Whisky is an Indian Single Malt Whisky matured in both American bourbon barrels and European oak sherry casks and bottled at 45%.

The two cask types mature separately before being married, so the vanilla and sweetness from the bourbon barrels meet the dried fruit and spice of the sherry casks. The result is a round, approachable whisky that shows what the high-altitude Himalayan climate does to maturation.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

The nose offers delicate, almost balsamic vanilla notes mingling with caramel and a hint of dried fruit.

    Palate

On the palate, rich caramel, dark dried fruit and spice unfold, tying the two cask types together.

    Finish

The finish is soft and lingering, with a last touch of spiced oak.

The rye that started it all — the whiskey that gave the brand its name.

    Expert description

Redemption Rye American Rye Whiskey is the brand's foundational expression, discovered as a stock of rye whiskey barrels that inspired the brand's name, bottled at 46%. Redemption was founded in 2010 by Dave Schmier and Michael Kanbar, after they serendipitously discovered a cache of rye whiskey barrels they believed to be the perfect expression of the classic American spirit. The whiskey is distilled at the historic MGP distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and then trucked to a bottling facility in Bardstown, Kentucky, where each batch and bottle is hand-numbered on the label.

  • Reinheart Rye Whiskey 6 Year Small Batch bottle 50 cl
    Item no.: 22263-55547

Rye is a harder grain to work with than barley. But it is also a grain with more character — spicy, peppery, dry and more insistent in flavour. Reinheart has matured their rye for six years and bottled it as a Small Batch. This is a more mature expression than the younger releases and shows what time does to rye.

    Expert description

Reinheart Rye Whiskey 6 Year Small Batch is a Danish Rye Whiskey at 45%, bottled at 50 cl. It is matured for six years and produced as a Small Batch bottling — meaning from a limited number of casks at a time. Reinheart is a Danish micro-distillery producing rye and malt whiskies with a focus on craftsmanship and Danish raw materials. Six years is a respectable age for a Danish rye whiskey and gives the cask time to soften rye's natural edges.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Peppery and spicy with characteristic rye aroma. Sweet vanilla and caramel from the cask. Lightly bakery-like — rye bread and a hint of cinnamon stick.

    Palate

The rye character is central — dry, spicy and insistent with oak and caramel in the background. 45% is a good strength for this expression — enough to carry the flavour without being harsh.

    Finish

Long and spicy with dried fruit and rye bread. Warm and satisfying.

    Item no.: 059763-615-935

Some whiskies whisper their origin instead of shouting it. Secret Orkney keeps its distillery under wraps on the label, but not in the glass — a single-batch bottling from Signatory Vintage, thirteen years in the making on Orkney's salt-swept air.

    Expert Description

Secret Orkney 2009/2023 Signatory Vintage 13 Year Old is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in refill hogsheads and bottled at 46%.

The distillery behind the discreet name cannot be printed on the label, but Orkney is home to only two distilleries, and the cask codes point firmly towards Highland Park. Signatory Vintage filled the whisky into a run of refill hogsheads, cask numbers DRU 17/A67-9/-10/-13/-21, without adding colouring or chill filtering before bottling.

The whisky was distilled on 31 March 2009 and left to mature until January 2023, when 483 bottles were filled — a small, hand-picked release that shows Orkney character in an unfiltered, natural state.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Heather blossom and a whisper of smoky peat meet salt sea air and ripe apple, with a soft honey sweetness underneath tying it all together.

    Palate

Soft and lightly oiled, with citrus peel, toasted malt and a warm spice run of ginger and clove. The natural colour keeps the flavour clean and direct.

    Finish

Medium in length, gently peated towards the end, with a lingering heather sweetness and a touch of salted caramel that fades slowly.

    Item no.: 059763-615-936

Behind the label "Secret Speyside" hides one of Scotland's most sought-after distilleries. Signatory Vintage chose well here — 13 years in cask, 46%, bottled in 2023.

    Expert description

Secret Speyside 2009/2023 Signatory Vintage 13 Year Old is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2023 at 46%. Behind the anonymous name is Macallan distillery — a common practice among independent bottlers who purchase casks directly from distilleries. Signatory Vintage, founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington, is one of Scotland's most respected independent bottlers, known for selecting and bottling single cask whiskies with minimal intervention.

13 years is a fine age for Speyside spirit — old enough to have rounded off the sharper edges, young enough to retain fruit character and vitality. The result is a whisky that moves from a gentle, fruity nose to a lightly sweet, spiced palate with good balance.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Stewed plums and vanilla with soft malt notes. Light shortbread and icing sugar, supported by a hint of citrus and light syrup.

    Palate

Bastard is Stauning's first expression for cask finishes outside the traditional Scotch and American cask register. The mezcal cask adds a smoky, earthy and slightly floral Mexican dimension to the spiced Jutland foundation of the rye. The result is unusual and memorable.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Citrus and sweet tobacco mixed with mild mezcal smoke and wild flowers. Complex and different.

    Palate

Soft and sweetly satisfying with rye spice and burnt caramel. The earthy note of the mezcal cask shines through.

    Finish

Spiced and lightly smoky with spicy notes and dried fruit.

Chaos is not the absence of order. It is the moment three things meet at once and create something unexpected. Barley, rye and smoked malt – Stauning's signature blend – distilled, matured and bottled as one coherent thought.

    Expert description

Stauning Kaos Triple Malt is a Danish Triple Malt Whisky bottled at 46%. Stauning Whisky was founded in 2005 by nine friends in Skjern, West Jutland. Kaos is the distillery's flagship expression – a blend of three malted grains: barley, rye and peated barley, all floor-malted on-site. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks.

Fresh fruit and a discreet smoke undertone. A little honey, light bread and a hint of cinnamon. The rye contributes a fine pepper spice in the background.

In the old malt lofts in Skjern, the maltsters still turn the grain by hand. That same rye, grown in West Jutland's fields, ends up here – matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks into a whisky that is a little sweeter than most. But never soft.

Stauning Whisky was founded in 2005 by nine friends in Skjern, West Jutland, and is today one of Denmark's most acclaimed distilleries. Pedro Ximénez is the sweetest sherry style, made from sun-dried grapes, leaving a rich, dark, fruit-forward impression in the whisky.

    Tasting notes

5,100 bottles of this edition were produced, with no added colouring and no chill filtration.

Crisp apple, white flowers and a hint of ripe pear, lifted by a light, sparkling tanginess.

    Palate

    Finish

Medium, dry and refreshing, with a last hint of apple skin.

  • The Gauldrons Batch 2 Campbeltown blended malt whisky bottle
    Item no.: 22234-9045

The bay of storms has lent its name to this whisky. Sea air, seaweed and a touch of honey meet in a glass from Campbeltown.

    Expert description

The Gauldrons Batch 2 is a Campbeltown Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Douglas Laing, assembled purely from malt whisky sourced from Campbeltown distilleries and bottled at 46.2% ABV.

The name Gauldrons refers to the dark, storm-battered coves on Campbeltown's west shores, whose name roughly translates to "bay of storms", and the bottle's spiderweb design nods to the legend of Robert the Bruce, who after a defeat was inspired to keep fighting by a spider building its web in this very bay.

Batch 2 is the second release in the series and, like the first, is bottled in small batches with no added colouring and no chill filtration, preserving the whisky's raw, maritime character.

Douglas Laing was founded in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing and is today carried on by the third generation of the family, with Cara Laing a central figure following a split of the company in 2013.

    Tasting notes

    Palate

Maritime character that shifts into sweet shortbread, dry oak and gristy cereal notes.

    Finish

Distinctly spicy, with puffs of smoke, Madagascan vanilla and cinnamon pancakes.
