Brian Kinsman, the Malt Master, conducted one of the most exciting malt experiments in Glenfiddich's 130-year history. Shrouded in secrecy (its codename was XX, pronounced twenty), he invited 20 whisky experts from 16 countries to the distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. Brian gave each of these experts complete freedom to explore the warehouse and choose any single cask of Glenfiddich whisky that intrigued them the most. How to serve: Experiment with a dab of salt on the side to heighten the taste. About Brian Kinsman: Brain Kinsman, who succeeded David Stewart as Master Blender - who after 47 years at the same distillery has decided to make way for new talent. David Stewart will continue his work as Master Blender at Balvenie Brian Kinsman is the 6th Master Blender in the entire history of William Grant's - he was hired in 1997, with a background as a chemical engineer and after 8 years "apprenticing" with David Stewart, he was appointed on December 1, 2009 as Glenfiddich Malt Master and Master Blender for Grant's with responsibility for quality control of råsprit and control of the maturation of the many casks.
