These barrels provide a higher ratio of contact between the spirit and the oak for a more intense aroma and flavor. It smells of creamy vanilla, caramel and a subtle hint of popcorn. On the palate, you'll find more vanilla, oak, spices and beautiful tropical fruit. The finish has notes of orange, brown sugar and, not least, malt sweetness. Murray McDavid has bottled this Linkwood as a tribute to the distillery's 200th anniversary in 2021.   Old Perth 12 Year Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 70 cl 46%Old Perth is old-school blended whisky. The name refers to the fact that the city of Perth was originally the epicenter of blended whisky. Old Perth was a blend created in 1908 as a tribute to the city. Its popularity is probably due to a large proportion of sherry-stocked whisky. The name fell into oblivion as the many producers moved out of the city, but today the famous Morrison whisky family continues to carry on the name and history. They have created a range of whiskies that are blended in Perth - from specially selected single malt whiskies. The whiskies all come from the Glenlivet region of Speyside and are aged exclusively in sherry casks.Old Perth aged 12 years' has been aged for a full 12 years. This results in a whisky with an incredibly balanced flavor. It has notes of sherry-pickled fruits and spicy orange marmalade. It has a warm, lingering finish.
  Old Perth It has no added color and is not chill filtered. The Morrison family is today led by Jamie and Brian Morrison. For generations, the family has worked with whisky in every conceivable way - in retail and wholesale sales, as blenders and bottlers, and not least as distillers. The family has run the distillery Bowmore for many years (before it was sold to Suntory). Today they are behind the small new distillery Aberargie.
