Five casks, one story. Teaninich 2007 spends eleven quiet years maturing in Highland warehouses before being brought together into a rounded portrait of the distillery's light, elegant character.

    Expert description

Teaninich 2007/2021 The Single Malts of Scotland is an 11 year old Single Highland Malt Whisky bottled at 48% by independent bottler Elixir Distillers, under their acclaimed The Single Malts of Scotland range.

The range is one of Elixir Distillers' oldest and most respected series, built around letting distillery character speak for itself. This release is a marriage of five single casks, selected by Oliver Chilton, adding a layer of complexity while staying true to Teaninich's typical style.

Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2021 after eleven years of maturation, the whisky is presented non-chill filtered and with natural colour, so every nuance from the casks remains visible in the glass.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fresh pear and green apple meet a hint of baked citrus and a light touch of vanilla cream.

    Palate

Soft and gently oily in texture, with notes of honey, malt and a whisper of ginger for delicate spice.

    Finish

Medium length and dry, closing on a last trace of oak and citrus peel.
