Stauning Smoked R.Y.E. is a groundbreaking release from the West Jutland distillery, marking the first time Stauning introduces a smoked rye whisky. The whisky is made from floor-malted Danish rye and barley, dried with local peat and heather from West Jutland. This creates an elegant and balanced smoke profile that supports the complex layers of flavor. Distilled in copper stills heated with direct fire and matured first in new American oak casks and then in hand-selected Moscatel sherry casks, it develops into a rich and layered dram.
