Stauning Rye Cask Strength is a powerful, unfiltered Danish whisky bottled at an impressive 58.7%. Distilled in 2015 and 2016, and released in February 2019, only 1,873 bottles exist of this limited edition. The whisky is made from floor-malted Danish rye and barley, dried with local peat and heather from West Jutland. Distilled in copper stills heated with direct fire and matured first in new American oak casks and then in hand-selected Moscatel sherry casks, it develops into a rich and layered dram.

The whisky is produced by Stauning Distillery, pioneers of Danish whisky. This edition marks the first Stauning Single Malt matured in Oloroso sherry casks, and it was officially released on November 27, 2013.
