This first edition of Lindorm is barrel-aged in small 42-liter Oloroso casks for 5 years.

The name of the whisky originates from a legend: The tale of the great dragon-like monster called Lindormen. It was said that the hills by the fjord were shaped on top of its body and that Sundsøre Tange was its tail - so the distillery was supposed to be built on top of the dragon.

The whisky, produced at the Limfjorden Distillery, has a completely unique character due to its maturation in old Oloroso sherry casks by the fresh waters of Limfjorden.

The first whisky edition from Enghaven. 476 bottles only. A beautiful and robust aroma of warm wood, malt and a volatile spicy character, as you would find in a fine old cognac. After some time in the glass, deeper notes of caramel, toffee, nuts and dried fruit emerge. The taste is delicious and spicy: at first we encounter the cognac style, but then more malt sweetness and clear references to the sherry cask follow, with plums, berries, nuts and dried figs and dates. It has a delicious creamy mouthfeel, with both richness and bite, leading into a long and spicy aftertaste.

Enghaven no 1 Young Rye The aroma hints at fruity sweetness and lots of fresh herbs. There are subtle notes of ripe banana, pineapple and orange. It's reminiscent of a good English wine gum. The taste is "dessert-like" with distinct notes of chocolate, brandy and strawberries, almost like filled chocolates. Gradually, the toasted notes blend into the flavor, which also becomes drier and fades into a spicy freshness like mint and tarragon.
