  • Bottle of Loch Lomond Grainstorm Single Grain Whisky
    Item no.: 2222786524777

Not all whisky from Loch Lomond comes from traditional pot stills. Grainstorm is the distillery's answer to what happens when malted barley runs through a Coffey still – and the result is far fruitier than most expect from a grain whisky.

    Expert's Description

Loch Lomond Grainstorm is a Highland Single Grain Scotch Whisky matured in American oak and bottled at 46%.

The whisky is distilled entirely from malted barley on the distillery's continuous Coffey still, making it a single grain rather than a single malt, even though the grain is the same. Maturation takes place exclusively in American oak, which gives the whisky its bright, fruity and slightly sweet character.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Citrus peel and fresh applesauce meet vanilla and sweet spice, with a hint of freshly cut grass in the background.

    Palate

Sweet fruitiness with green apple and star anise, growing softer and more floral towards the finish.

    Finish

Short to medium finish with a fleeting hint of smoke.

    Did You Know?

Grainstorm is made entirely from malted barley – the same grain used in a traditional single malt – but because it is distilled on a continuous still, it is still called a single grain.

    Item no.: 22227865397-249

Every distillery needs a solid core expression to go the distance. Loch Lomond Original is exactly that – an easy-going whisky still built on the distillery's own, slightly unusual way of making malt.

    Expert's Description

Loch Lomond Original is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in American oak and bottled at 40%.

The whisky is a lightly peated single malt with no age statement, designed as an accessible introduction to the distillery's style. It combines a full, soft body with a discreet hint of smoke that never overtakes the sweet, fruity notes.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Caramel, tropical fruit and toasted oak, with a fresh green note like freshly cut hay.

    Palate

Honeyed sweetness and vanilla meet green herbs and fruit, with a touch of bitter chocolate, pepper and ginger, and gentle smoke in the background.

Peat and grain sound like an unlikely pairing, but at Loch Lomond that kind of experiment is business as usual. Peated Single Grain is proof that smoke and lightness can happily share the same bottle.

    Expert's Description

Loch Lomond Peated Single Grain is a Highland Single Grain Scotch Whisky matured in American oak and bottled at 46%.

The whisky is distilled from peated malted barley on the distillery's continuous Coffey still, giving it a light, grain-like body combined with an earthy, medicinal smoke. The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Clove, vanilla and blackcurrant, with peat leaning towards bandages and a touch of iodine, alongside fresh lemons and pears.

    Palate

Sweet, tangy peat with green apple, lime citrus and aniseed, followed by vanilla and a note of lemongrass.

    Finish

Crisp, dry finish with distant peat smoke and a short but clear peaty impression.

Some whiskies don't need to surprise – they just need to be good, every time. Loch Lomond Reserve is the distillery's take on a classic blend, where both malt and grain come from the very same address on the loch's shore.

    Expert's Description

Loch Lomond Reserve is a Blended Scotch Whisky matured in American oak and bottled at 40%.

The whisky is composed entirely of malt and grain whisky distilled and matured at Loch Lomond Distillery – with no whisky sourced from other distilleries. That makes it a rarity among blends: a "single-site blend", where the entire process happens in one place.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Sweet honey and caramel with a touch of toffee and light vanilla.

    Palate

Light and easy-drinking with honeyed sweetness, creamy caramel and a soft, round body.

A signature blend has to do it all at once – be easy-drinking, yet still bring something to the table. Loch Lomond Signature solves that with a solera system that ties the distillery's malt and grain together into one rounded whole.

    Expert's Description

Loch Lomond Signature is a Blended Scotch Whisky matured in oloroso casks and re-charred American bourbon casks and bottled at 40%.

The whisky is built on a solera system of 100 casks, where malt and grain whisky from the distillery are continuously blended and replenished. The combination of ex-oloroso sherry casks and re-charred American oak gives the whisky a round, fruity sweetness with a sherried edge.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Sweet and fruity with round vanilla, butterscotch and toffee, plus a light sherried tinge and baked apple.

    Palate

Honey and vanilla with a shell of black pepper, apple fruitiness, ripe pears, cinnamon, ginger and dark sugar.

  • Bottle of Loch Lomond Steam & Fire Single Malt Whisky with dark label
    Item no.: 059763-615-1032

On the banks of Scotland's most famous loch sits a distillery that isn't afraid to play with fire. Loch Lomond Steam & Fire comes from the same curiosity that drives the distillery's own on-site cooperage, where barrels aren't just aged but re-charred until they give the whisky something entirely its own.

    Expert's Description

Loch Lomond Steam & Fire is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in American oak and bottled at 46%.

The whisky begins its life in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and American oak, before moving into casks that are heavily re-charred at the distillery's own cooperage – a process staff call "steam and fire". Ten months of finishing on these hard-charred casks gives the whisky its signature depth of toasted wood and burnt sugar, without ever losing Loch Lomond's fruity, light house style.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Toffee and ripe apples meet a sweet caramel aroma with a touch of cinnamon and a light, tangy citrus edge.

    Palate

Silky on the palate with orange, peach and marmalade, sliding into toasted marshmallow and melted brown sugar – finishing with a hint of dark chocolate.

    Finish

Medium to long, dry finish with smoky dark chocolate and a gentle wisp of smoke from the charred casks.

    Expert description

Lochlea 2018/2024 Adelphi Selection is a Single Highland Malt Whisky, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2024 after 5 years of maturation at cask strength 59.2%, selected by independent bottler Adelphi Selection. The whisky comes from Lochlea, an independent, family-owned farm distillery in Ayrshire in the Lowlands, which has been distilling single malt whisky since 2018. The farm has a long agricultural history — between 1777 and 1784, Scotland's national poet Robert Burns lived here and worked the land. The McGeoch family ran a dairy operation until 2014, when they decided to convert the farm into a distillery instead. The buildings have been repurposed from their original use: the former piggery, byre and midden now house mashing, fermentation and distillation, while the old cattle sheds serve as warehouses. The barley for the whisky is grown on the distillery's own 222 acres.

    Item no.: 2222444-2025

Some whiskies whisper. Longrow 100 Proof shouts. From Springbank's old still house by the Campbeltown harbour comes this powerful take on the peated Longrow style, cranked up to a strength that matches the smoke blow for blow.

    Expert Description

Longrow 100 Proof Batch 1 is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Springbank, matured in bourbon and pinot noir casks and bottled at cask strength, 57.1%.

The name 100 Proof refers to the old British strength scale, where 100 proof equals roughly 57% ABV - the strength whisky was historically traded and taxed at. Batch 1 in this series spent its first four years in refill bourbon casks before a further two years in fresh pinot noir casks, layering sweet berry notes over Longrow's bold, peated core.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Medicinal smoke and blackcurrant arrive immediately, followed by macerated strawberries, red grapes and a hint of tobacco. Beneath the smoke sit classic Springbank markers of oil, citrus and dried seaweed.

    Palate

The smoke turns more earthy on the palate, with creme brulee, vanilla and almonds in the background. Charred bacon, black pepper and a whiff of spent matches add edge, while tart red berries keep it fresh.

    Finish

Red cola cubes, strawberry laces and marzipan carry the long, smoky finish home.

Four years in fresh Pinot Noir casks have laid a layer of dark berry fruit over Longrow's signature smoke - the result gathers two very different worlds into a single glass.

    Expert Description

Longrow 15 Year Old Red Pinot Noir Cask is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Springbank, matured 11 years in bourbon casks followed by 4 years in fresh Pinot Noir casks, and bottled at 51.4%.

The cask journey gives this Longrow expression a markedly different character to the classic bourbon and sherry-matured releases: the smoke is still there, but it is now joined by a deep, almost wine-like berry sweetness from the red wine casks. A total of 9,400 bottles were released of this limited edition.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dark forest berries and a hint of red wine meet Longrow's signature smoke and a whisper of salty kelp.

Where the Mull of Kintyre runs out into the sea and the water keeps hammering at granite and kelp, the old pot stills still fire up a different kind of Campbeltown whisky. Longrow is the peated sibling of Springbank, and in this 21 year old 2023 release, time has softened the smoke into something almost sweet.

    Expert Description

Longrow 21 Year Old Limited Edition 2023 is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Springbank, matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks and bottled at 46%.

Longrow is the most heavily peated of the three styles produced at Springbank Distillery, alongside the medium-peated Springbank and the unpeated, triple-distilled Hazelburn. The barley is dried over peat smoke for up to 48 hours before it is milled, mashed and fermented using the same old-fashioned methods as the rest of the distillery's output. The 21 year old is the oldest standing release in the Longrow range, and this 2023 vintage draws its character from roughly 65% sherry casks and 35% bourbon casks, a combination that lends the smoke a sweetness rarely found in younger expressions.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

A savoury, slightly tangy note greets you first, followed by hazelnut and blackcurrant. Underneath sits a hint of tanned leather and smoked ham.

    Palate

A syrupy sweetness coats the palate, where cola bottles and cigar-box tobacco play off each other while the smoke stays in the background like a warm, whispering bass note.

    Finish

The finish is pure Longrow: shingle beach, wet flint and seaweed, as if the sea itself washes over the palate one last time.

No vintage, no excuses - just pure, unfiltered smoke from one of Campbeltown's most distinctive styles. Longrow Peated is the distillery's straightforward expression, without any extra frills.

    Expert Description

Longrow Peated is a Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Springbank, bottled without an age statement at 46%.

The name Longrow is taken from a distillery that once stood on the peninsula but closed over a hundred years ago. As a no-age-statement release, this bottle represents the Longrow style in its most accessible form, with plenty of bold peat smoke and a hint of medicinal character that ties it to its older siblings in the range.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Bold peat smoke meets a light medicinal note, with a hint of salinity and citrus in the background.

    Palate

Well-balanced smoke with a soft sweetness beneath the surface that keeps the medicinal notes in check.

    Finish

No other whisky has made the sherry cask a world-famous synonym for quality the way Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak has. It is not just an expression — it is a reference point. The bottle against which most others are measured.

    Expert description

Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in sherry seasoned European oak casks and bottled at 40%. Macallan was one of the first distilleries to systematically use 100% sherry casks for maturation, and the 12 Year Old Sherry Oak is the core expression of that tradition. The oak casks are produced in Spain, seasoned with Oloroso sherry before being sent to Macallan, and give the whisky its characteristic dried fruit, warm spices and silky smooth structure.

12 years is the classic age, and this is where Macallan's DNA is most clearly expressed. Not too young to have edges, not too old to have freshness.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Dried fruit and candied citrus peel with oak, ginger and nutmeg. Raisins, sultanas and orange notes with festive spices like cinnamon and clove.

    Palate

Raisins and sultanas with ginger syrup and sweet cinnamon. Sherry, plums and powdered sugar sweetness with a silky mouthfeel.

    Finish

Long with oak and warming ginger. Dried fruit and mandarin linger.

    Item no.: 2222786544-4785

Macallan took the two great oak traditions — European and American — and set them to work together. Double Cask is the result: a whisky that doesn't have to choose sides, but benefits from both.

    Expert description

Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in sherry seasoned European and American oak casks and bottled at 40%. While the classic Sherry Oak uses only European oak, Double Cask introduces American oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry. American oak provides a softer, sweeter profile with more vanilla and coconut, and the result is a lighter, more accessible Macallan than its Sherry Oak sibling.

Double Cask is a good entry point into the Macallan range and a great everyday dram. It does not eclipse its older Sherry Oak sibling, but it is more approachable and has broader appeal.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Toffee, banana and fudge with soft sherry. Dark fruit, red berries and mild chocolate with baking spices like cardamom and vanilla.

    Palate

Marshmallow and anise with ginger and citrus. Medium-thin mouthfeel with light dryness, fig notes and maltiness.

Three more years do more than you might expect. Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is not simply the 12-year-old with more patience behind it — it is a whisky that has found another gear. More depth, more complexity, more oak.

    Expert description

Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in sherry seasoned European and American oak casks and bottled at 43%. Like the 12-year-old it uses two cask types — but 15 years in cask delivers a noticeably deeper and more complex profile. European oak contributes dried fruit and warm spices, while American oak adds vanilla and caramel. The result is a whisky with orange peel, light smoke and a finish that surpasses the 12-year-old in length and complexity.

This has stepped up from everyday dram to an expression worth enjoying slowly. A bottle that deserves time.

    Tasting notes

    Expert's Description

Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask 2023 is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured for 18 years in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, bottled at 43%. The two cask types complement each other: American sherry oak lends citrus, vanilla and butterscotch, while European sherry oak provides gentle spice and depth. The 2023 release is the current vintage of one of Macallan's most classic age-stated expressions.

For many collectors, Macallan 18 Year Old is a benchmark — not because it surprises, but because it consistently delivers on its promise. That's no small thing.

    Tasting Notes

Eighteen years is not just a number. It is the point where European and American sherry oak have stopped competing and started speaking the same language. Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask 2024 is the result of that conversation.

    Expert description

Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask 2024 Release is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in sherry seasoned European and American oak casks and bottled at 43%. It combines the depth of European sherry oak — dried fruit, warm spice, dark chocolate — with the fruity and creamy contribution of American oak. The 2024 release is the latest annual release in the 18 Year Old Double Cask line, and with 18 years in cask the complexity and integration of the two cask types reaches its peak in the series.

    Tasting notes

Every year, Macallan selects the casks that have left the strongest mark on their new make. Classic Cut is where the distillery shows its hand — no dilution to comfortable strength, no smoothed-off edges. The 2025 edition is bottled exactly where the casks' character speaks loudest.

    Expert's Description

Macallan Classic Cut 2025 Limited Edition is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks alongside ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 50.6%. The Classic Cut series is Macallan's annual showcase for intensely matured single malt — non-chill filtered, natural colour, bottled at a strength that gives the aromas room to fully unfold. The European sherry casks contribute depth and complex fruit, the American sherry casks add citrus and softness, while the ex-bourbon casks bring an additional layer of complexity to the 2025 expression.

Macallan is one of those distilleries that rarely wavers about what it wants to say. That's reflected in Classic Cut: a bottle that makes a clear statement, rather than simply tasting pleasant.

  • Macallan Concept Number 1 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Limited Edition 2018
    Item no.: 059766-785

In 2018, Macallan launched a series that would challenge everything the distillery had done before. Concept Number 1 is the first bottle — inspired by surrealist art and designed to break with received notions of what Macallan whisky can and should taste like.

    Expert description

Macallan Concept Number 1 is a discontinued Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky from 2018, matured equally in sherry seasoned oak casks and ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 40%. The Concept series was Macallan's response to contemporary art's urge to challenge and provoke — the whisky is made to deviate, not to confirm. The maturation time is split equally between the two cask types, and the result is an expression that is lighter and more citrus-oriented than the classic Macallan expressions dominated by sherry casks.

As the first in the series and as a discontinued expression, Concept Number 1 attracts attention from collectors. It was not produced in unlimited quantities, and access to bottles continues to decrease.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Butterscotch toffee with almonds and ginger. Cinnamon and dried fruit, citrus and green banana in the background.

    Palate

Fresh orange and lemon citrus with soft oak spices and ginger. Lively fruit presence with good drive.

    Finish

Medium length with a touch of sweetness and dryness. Oak, citrus fruit and ginger linger.

  • Macallan Edition No 6 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2020 Limited Edition
    Item no.: 22227865445-19446

Edition No 6 was the last in Macallan's Edition series — and it signed off with one of the heaviest sherry cask compositions in the range. 74% sherry butt casks and 48.6% — not a rounding off, but a definitive statement.

    Expert description

Macallan Edition No 6 is a discontinued Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky from 2020, matured in 26% sherry seasoned hogsheads and 74% sherry seasoned butts and bottled at 48.6%. The Edition series was Macallan's annual limited edition range, combining the distillery's whisky with creative collaborations. Edition No 6 was created in collaboration with Master of Wood Stuart MacPherson and focused on the role of wood itself in whisky. The cask composition is heavy and sherry-dominated — and that is clear in the glass.

As the closing release in a well-known series, No 6 is particularly sought after by collectors. It is discontinued and no longer in production. Availability continues to fall.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Toffee apples, plums and peaches in syrup with orchard blossom and vanilla. Prunes, beeswax and honeyed fruits with dark chocolate and toffee.

    Palate

Sultana raisins and walnuts with creamy fudge, ginger and raspberries. Black pepper and cinnamon with sultanas and cocoa.

    Finish

Citrus zest and candied citrus with Christmas cake spices. Medium length with lingering fudge and milk chocolate.
