Six bourbon casks, brought together into one batch — that's the recipe behind this 13-year-old, which shows Edradour in one of its most classic and direct forms.
The expert's description
Edradour 2007/2021 Bourbon Cask 13 years old is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 59.1%.
The whisky was distilled on 16 November 2007 and matured for 13 years across six selected bourbon casks, numbers 382, 383, 384, 386, 387 and 388, before being bottled in May 2021. The relatively high cask strength preserves the bourbon cask's vanilla sweetness in an intense, concentrated form, while Edradour's light, floral core character comes through clearly. 1,290 bottles were released.
