Old Perth was a blend created in 1908 as a tribute to the city. Its popularity is likely due to a large proportion of sherry-stocked whisky. The name was forgotten when the many producers moved out of the city. Today, it is the famous Morrison whisky family that carries on the name and history. They have created a range of whiskies that are blended in Perth - from specially selected single malt whiskies. The whiskies all come from the Glenlivet region of Speyside and are aged exclusively in sherry casks. Old Perth Cask Strength is bottled at full cask strength so as not to interfere with the rich aroma.
