A blend of malt and grain from various distilleries across the country, it's been matured predominantly in first-fill bourbon casks. This has a velvety, creamy texture and notes of sweet fruit and vanilla. Roe & Co is made from the best Irish malt and grain whiskies and matured in bourbon casks. It has the smoothness of Irish Whiskey and a remarkable depth of flavor - a luxurious blend with a perfect harmony between the intense fruit flavors of the malts and the mild creaminess of the grain whiskies. The high proportion of first fill barrels gives notes of creamy vanilla balanced with round spices and a remarkable depth for such an elegant and refined whiskey. Roe & Co is unfiltered and bottled at 45% ABV. Roe & Co is named after George Roe, the world-famous whiskey maker who helped create the Golden Age of Irish Whiskey in the 19th century. His distillery, George Roe and Co, was located on Thomas Street on a site that was well over 69,000 square meters, making it the largest distillery in Ireland. It was a neighbor of Guinness for centuries and together they formed the heart of Dublin's historic brewery and distillery district. Building on this heritage, Diageo is transforming the old Guinness Power House on Thomas Street into a new distillery. The new distillery will be located just a stone's throw from the original George Roe & Co distillery and will begin production in the first half of 2019
