The Widow Jane 10 Year Old whiskey won one of the coveted gold medals at the San Francisco Spirits Competition in 2020! Color: Deep amber Aroma: The aroma is wonderfully thick and sweet, densely packed with notes of both dark caramel, maple syrup and light tobacco, cherries and peanuts. Tasting notes: Definitely a nice concentration on the palate, but without the alcohol being too overpowering. The notes consist of cherry, almond, vanilla and burnt oak.

  Widow Jane Rye American Oak & Applewood is an unusual but fantastic whiskey. The whiskey itself is distilled from a mash of predominantly rye with a small amount of malted barley, and then aged in bourbon barrels. In the middle of the aging process, apple wood staves are added, which contributes to the unique aroma and flavor. Color: Golden. Aroma: The aroma offers vanilla, cinnamon, clove and a hint of apple blossom. Tasting notes: Nice pleasant freshness on the palate, with notes of oak, vanilla, baked apple and orange peel.   Craigellachie 2012/2024 Signatory Vintage 11 years Edition No. 5 is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled at 48.2%.

  The release belongs to Signatory's Small Batch range, in which several casks are married into one expression rather than bottled individually. That gives more balance and a steadier character without the distillery style disappearing. Craigellachie still condenses in worm tubs and makes a heavy, almost meaty spirit, and eleven years is enough to round the edges without the cask starting to take over.

  Tasting notes

  Nose

  Young and fresh. Green apple, pear and pineapple, with cereal, vanilla and a dry mineral note underneath.

  Palate

  Oily and spiced. Malt, citrus and baked fruit, with the flinty edge from the worm tubs as a dry undercurrent. The 48.2% gives good body without turning hard.

  Finish

  Medium and dry, with cereal, oak and a lightly smoked mineral note.
