The cask journey is three-stage: first maturation on bourbon casks, then a boost on virgin casks of Danish fleet oak from Erholm Estate in Funen, and finally a finish on a 50-litre STR cask. The intense cask character of virgin Danish oak – with powerful tannins and intense oak notes – is central to this whisky.

  Nose
