Glenrothes 1988/2015 was distilled in June 1988 and bottled in September 2015, giving the whisky a full 27 years of maturation. It was bottled by independent bottler Gordon & Company under their exclusive series The Pearls of Scotland, Golden Pearl Collection.

The whisky comes from a single cask (Cask No. #7856) and is bottled at 50.6%, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. With only 264 bottles from this one cask, this is a very limited release.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Ripe, deep fruit sweetness with notes of dried apricot and a light touch of honey.

Palate

Full-bodied and elegant, with stewed fruit, old oak and a soft, waxy sweetness that speaks to the long maturation.

Finish

Very long, soft and warm, with lingering notes of dried fruit and wood.
