  • Bottle of Enghaven Danish New Spirit Rye 1 litre 65%
    Item no.: 22227865482-8301

No time in cask. No colour. No apologies. Enghaven's New Spirit Rye is the distillate in its purest form — and a full litre of it.

    Expert description

Enghaven Danish New Spirit Rye is an unaged new make spirit distilled from rye mash and bottled at 65%. New Spirit is not whisky — it is the distillate before it enters a cask and begins its transformation. This lets you taste rye's raw, spicy nature without oak and time in the way. Typically used by home cask ageing enthusiasts or spirits-curious people who want to understand what happens in a distillery. 100 cl, 1 litre.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Sharp and grain-forward with rye, light yeast and green notes. Very direct and clean.

    Palate

Strong at 65% — usually diluted. Rye grain, herbs and a sharp bite. Clear rye identity.

    Finish

Short and dry with grain and herbs. Clean and direct.

Sadashi means ambition in Japanese, and that ambition shows in the glass - a blend built to surprise with a final finish in Japanese mizunara oak.

    Expert Description

Sadashi Mizunara Oak Finish is a Blended Japanese Whisky finished in mizunara casks and bottled at 43%.

The base is an even blend of malt and grain whisky, first matured in sherry and bourbon casks, before a final finish in Japanese mizunara oak - a cask wood known for imparting notes of sandalwood and Asian spice that are hard to achieve any other way.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

    Palate

Soft and spiced with honey and a distinct sandalwood character tying the flavour together.

Mizunara oak grows so slowly and porously that casks made from it often leak - Japanese distilleries once lost up to a third of their spirit to evaporation before the technique was perfected.

2022. Sall Whisky opened its doors for the first bottle. Not just any bottle – the first official release from a Danish single farm distillery on Djursland with home-grown barley.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky Inaugural Release 2022 is a Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 52.2% from Sall Whisky in Djursland, Jutland. It is the distillery's very first official release – the historic moment when Sall Whisky's single farm malt goes from being a project to being a product. Sall Whisky specialises in growing their own barley, mashing, fermenting and distilling everything on the farm. Inaugural Release 2022 is from the very first casks and carries the youngest character of the distillery's work – a historic bottle for everyone following Danish whisky.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fresh and organic – the young Jutland single farm malt is clear with fruitiness and grain character. A clean, slightly open nose that hints at what more maturation will bring.

    Palate

52.2% gives good body. Organic grain, light fruitiness and a freshness characteristic of the first years. Distillate quality is clear even at the young age.

High. Inaugural Release – the very first official release from a distillery – is by definition a rare historic bottle. Sall Whisky's Inaugural Release 2022 marks the start of a unique single farm project, and it is no longer in production.

    Did you know?

Sall Whisky is one of very few places in the world that can truly operate as a "single farm" distillery – from soil to bottle. The barley that grows in the fields at Sall on Djursland is the same barley that ends up in Inaugural Release 2022. No middlemen, no external malting. It is a rare and unique model.

  • Bottle of Sall Whisky 5 Year Fondillon Cask Organic Single Malt Danish Whisky
    Item no.: 05555-74123

Fondillón is the wine of kings — produced in tiny quantities near Alicante in Spain, rarely seen beyond the Iberian peninsula. Maturing Danish whisky in these casks is not merely an experiment. It is the world's first distillery bottling of whisky finished in Fondillón casks — and it was made in Denmark.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky 5 Year Fondillon Cask is a Danish Single Malt Whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in rare Fondillón casks from Alicante, bottled at 55.4% Vol. This is a historic release: World First Ex-Fondillón Distillery Bottling.

Fondillón is an oxidative red wine from the Monastrell grape, produced exclusively in the Alicante region in quantities so small that it rarely reaches international markets. Sall Whisky is a Single Farm Single Malt distillery near Ebeltoft in Central Jutland with full control over barley, malting and maturation. The result is a 100% organic Danish whisky at 55.4% with a wine cask profile never previously seen in Danish whisky history. 340 bottles, no chill filtration, no colouring added.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Dried orange peel and dark raisins from the Fondillón cask, with hints of fig and old wine cellar. Beneath the wine character lies Sall Whisky's clean malt and a gentle nutty sweetness.

    Palate

Powerful and vinous with dark dried fruit, orange and a suggestion of dark chocolate. Malt and oak provide a steady foundation as the Fondillón cask takes clear command.

    Finish

Long and lingering with dried fruits and a fine tannin grip from the Fondillón wine. Warm and complex — unlike almost anything else in Danish whisky.

    Investment potential

Medium. 340 bottles worldwide and a documented "world first" in a growing Danish whisky category makes this of clear interest to collectors. Fondillón casks are extremely rare and repeat releases are highly unlikely.

    Did you know?

Fondillón is documented in historical records from the 16th century, when it was served at European royal courts — hence the name "Wine of Kings". Today it is produced by only a handful of bodegas in the Alicante region, and Sall Whisky is the first distillery in the world to have bottled a distillate matured in these very casks.

Cask number one. Sall Whisky's first retailer single cask – bottled from a single oloroso sherry cask for the retailers who wanted to be first with an exclusive edition of the North Jutland single farm malt.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky Forhandlernes Fad #1 Oloroso Cask is a Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 50.3% from Sall Whisky in Djursland. It is the distillery's first "retailer cask" – a single cask chosen and bottled specifically for selected retailers. The cask is an oloroso sherry cask, which adds a sweet, nutty sherry character with dark fruits and dried grapes to Sall Whisky's organic single farm malt. 50.3% is a good strength to show the sherry cask's nuances without losing the malt's grain character.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

The oloroso sherry's sweet, nutty character meets Sall Whisky's clean Jutland single farm malt. Dried grapes, hazelnut and a light spiciness from the sherry cask.

    Palate

50.3% gives a good balance. The sherry cask's sweetness and nuts are clear, but the grain base is still visible – lightly fruity and organic beneath the classic oloroso character.

    Finish

Long and warm with oloroso sherry's nutty and lightly sweet close.

    Specifications

    Did you know?

Oloroso is one of the driest sherry styles – it is made without the protective biological flor film that characterises fino and manzanilla, and instead oxidises slowly. This gives oloroso casks a dense, nutty and sweet profile that is easily recognisable in whisky. For Sall Whisky's clean single farm malt, it is an exciting partnership.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky Founders Cask no 1 Kåre is a Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 55.1% from Sall Whisky in Djursland, Jutland. The bottle is 50 cl – slightly smaller than standard – and was bottled in very limited numbers.

    Tasting notes

    Expert description

Sall Whisky GLØD 3.2 is an Organic Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 52.2% from Sall Whisky in Djursland, Jutland. The whisky is batch 3.2 of the ongoing GLØD series – the distillery's unpeated expression. Tasting notes

    Nose

Clean and fruity – organic grain, a light sweetness and a hint of woodland berries from the fermentation. No smoke, but a clear character from the North Jutland single farm malt.

    Palate

52.2% is a good strength for bringing out the organic malt's nuances. Cereal and fruity with a light sweetness and a touch of honey and light citrus.

    Item no.: 055551-77895

MULD is what the soil can do. Sall Whisky grows and harvests its own spring barley on its own fields in East Jutland — and here begins the story of a whisky that genuinely tastes of the place it came from.

    Expert description

Sall Whisky MULD 1.2 is a Danish Single Malt Whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 50.9% Vol. It is the second release in the MULD series — a distillate-driven expression where the character of the grain and malt takes precedence over cask influence.

Sall Whisky is a Single Farm Single Malt distillery near Ebeltoft in Central Jutland, built around a commitment to full traceability from field to bottle. MULD 1.2 is produced from Prospect and Evergreen spring barley grown on the Kvolbaek and Stadsaard fields, malted as Pale and Vienna for a balanced, fruity malt profile. Yeast strains Distillamax MW and Kveik Hornindal add further complexity. Three years in ex-bourbon casks have given light fruit notes and a gentle sweetness without overshadowing the clean, terroir-driven malt character. Bottled in 624 numbered bottles of 70cl — 100% organic and traceable to field and batch.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Fresh and malt-forward. Green apple and pear open things up, with honey biscuit and a light nutty note in the background. Gentle floral quality — almost like freshly malted barley.

    Palate

Sweet and direct. The malt character is front and centre, not overshadowed by the cask. Light honey, fresh citrus and a hint of ginger give a lively, clean profile.

    Finish

Short to medium with a fresh fruity tone and gentle warmth. Like buttered toast — simple and satisfying.

Lady of the Glen has wanted to collaborate with Steven since they saw his contemporary illustration of Tam O’Shanter at the Fife Whisky Festival. His use of color and detail was both a feast for the eyes and unsettling in a good way. They decided to celebrate Scotland’s Samhain festival by pairing richly illustrated Scottish stories with distilleries from the same regions. For the series, they selected some of their finest 40-liter octaves to highlight a wide range of rich flavors that would stand out just like the stories themselves.

Scallywag The Winter Edition 2024 Orange Wine Cask Douglas Laing Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 53.9%

Scallywag The Winter Edition 2024 Orange Wine Cask is a festive and characterful release from Douglas Laing – created to capture the spirit of winter with warmth, fruitiness and a touch of something delightfully unexpected. As always, Scallywag is a Speyside‑based blended malt, but this winter edition stands out thanks to its finishing period in casks that previously held orange wine. This imparts a unique aromatic profile with both spicy and fresh citrus‑driven nuances.

On the nose, you’re met with orange zest, honey, malt and warm winter spices, followed by light floral notes and a vinous freshness from the orange wine casks. The palate is full‑bodied and lively, offering flavours of sweet orange, vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and a hint of ginger and cinnamon. The high strength of 53.9% adds intensity and depth, yet the whisky retains its soft, Speyside‑typical charm. The finish is long, warm and gently spiced, with citrus oil, malt and an elegant dryness from the wine casks.

Scallywag The Winter Edition 2024 is a whisky for those who love seasonal releases with personality – a warm, fruity and festive dram that fits perfectly with winter’s dark evenings and cosy moments.

    Item no.: 22227865436-2 - 43
Scapa 16 Year Old The Orcadian Single Orkney Malt Whisky 40%

Scapa 16 Year Old "The Orcadian" is a now-discontinued single malt whisky from the Scapa Distillery on the Orkney Islands in Scotland – a bottle that has achieved cult status among collectors and fans of island whisky.

This edition was introduced in 2008 as part of the "The Orcadian" series, replacing the previous 14-year-old version. The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40% ABV, offering a smooth and approachable style while still delivering plenty of character.

    Tasting notes and profile:
    - Nose: Fruity and floral with notes of citrus, apple, pear, and tropical fruits like pineapple. A subtle grassy and floral undertone adds freshness and vibrancy.
    - Palate: Silky and sweet with honey, vanilla, and ripe fruits. The body is light to medium, and while some may find it slightly delicate, it remains elegant and well-balanced.
    - Finish: Soft and lingering with hints of honey, gentle pepper, and a touch of oak.

Though not known for high complexity or strength, Scapa 16 has been praised for its balance and accessibility. It’s a fine example of Scapa’s gentler, fruit-forward style – a contrast to the more peated profile of its neighbor, Highland Park.

Today, Scapa 16 is no longer in production, making it a sought-after bottle among collectors. It represents a chapter in Scapa’s history where the distillery reclaimed its place on the market with a whisky that was both classic and contemporary in expression.

    Item no.: 22227865387-501
Whiskybog: Scotch whisky - without color, without filterThe book is written in Danish by Peter Kjær and Lars Gregersen. The reader's review has just arrived: "Among the many whisky books, this one stands out for its Danish origin, quality and thoroughness. In addition, the book's primary focus is on the circumstances of production, distribution and enjoyment rather than being a guide to the individual whiskies. The book is very well written and inviting. In addition, it covers its subject very well, explaining the many facets of the subject in a comprehensive and generally understandable way. The many interviews are also well integrated into the overall picture." Authors: Peter Kjær and Lars Gregersen Photographer: Søren Rasch JensenAnother whiskybog - why? With this new book, we would like to give you a nuanced picture of the world of Scotch whisky in 2016. We want to address both those who are new to Scotch whisky enjoyment and hopefully also those who already have a good knowledge. Behind the picturesque facades of the distilleries, there is a lot going on that the ordinary consumer does not necessarily know. The full truth may never be revealed, but over the years we have come across quite a few exciting stories that we would like to share with you. We will also feature portraits and interviews with some of the industry's personalities who have contributed to many a good dram over the years and who are not afraid to speak their mind. Cheers, Lars, Søren and Peter

Seagrams VO Blended Canadian Whisky 70 cl 40%

There is a mystery surrounding the origins and naming of Seagram's V.O., one of the most well-known whiskies produced at Joseph E. Seagram's former Waterloo Distillery.
Family tradition states that "V.O." stands for "Very Own," as this was a whisky blend created for Joseph E. Seagram's own family. Others claim that the initials stand for "Very Old" in keeping with the distillers assertion that is was a blend of very old Canadian Whiskies.

The story tells how Joseph's son, Thomas, had the distillery's blender, William Hortop, prepare a whisky blend for his personal use to celebrate his upcoming marriage in 1913 to Dorothy Pearson. Upon tasting the special blend, Joseph insisted that the family blend be put on the market. It went on to become one of Seagram's biggest sellers.

    Item no.: 059763-615-935

Some whiskies whisper their origin instead of shouting it. Secret Orkney keeps its distillery under wraps on the label, but not in the glass — a single-batch bottling from Signatory Vintage, thirteen years in the making on Orkney's salt-swept air.

    Expert Description

Secret Orkney 2009/2023 Signatory Vintage 13 Year Old is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in refill hogsheads and bottled at 46%.

The distillery behind the discreet name cannot be printed on the label, but Orkney is home to only two distilleries, and the cask codes point firmly towards Highland Park. Signatory Vintage filled the whisky into a run of refill hogsheads, cask numbers DRU 17/A67-9/-10/-13/-21, without adding colouring or chill filtering before bottling.

The whisky was distilled on 31 March 2009 and left to mature until January 2023, when 483 bottles were filled — a small, hand-picked release that shows Orkney character in an unfiltered, natural state.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Heather blossom and a whisper of smoky peat meet salt sea air and ripe apple, with a soft honey sweetness underneath tying it all together.

    Palate

Soft and lightly oiled, with citrus peel, toasted malt and a warm spice run of ginger and clove. The natural colour keeps the flavour clean and direct.

    Finish

Medium in length, gently peated towards the end, with a lingering heather sweetness and a touch of salted caramel that fades slowly.

  • Secret Speyside 2009/2023 Signatory Vintage 13 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
    Item no.: 059763-615-936

Behind the label "Secret Speyside" hides one of Scotland's most sought-after distilleries. Signatory Vintage chose well here — 13 years in cask, 46%, bottled in 2023.

    Expert description

Secret Speyside 2009/2023 Signatory Vintage 13 Year Old is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2023 at 46%. Behind the anonymous name is Macallan distillery — a common practice among independent bottlers who purchase casks directly from distilleries. Signatory Vintage, founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington, is one of Scotland's most respected independent bottlers, known for selecting and bottling single cask whiskies with minimal intervention.

13 years is a fine age for Speyside spirit — old enough to have rounded off the sharper edges, young enough to retain fruit character and vitality. The result is a whisky that moves from a gentle, fruity nose to a lightly sweet, spiced palate with good balance.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Stewed plums and vanilla with soft malt notes. Light shortbread and icing sugar, supported by a hint of citrus and light syrup.

    Palate

Sweet entry with golden syrup and vanilla cream. Citrus notes emerge — bergamot and pomelo — with light oak behind.

    Finish

Medium length and sweet with a touch of spiced oak. Banana and soft freshness linger.
