In 1727, Martha's Wine & Spirits was established, in the Douro Valley in Portugal, by the Marta's family with their first vineyard.
The Marta family initially only produced grapes which were sold to other wine producers, but six generations ago they themselves started with port wine production.
Everything from harvesting, production, bottling and commercialization they are responsible for themselves, they are what you can call a field to bottle company.
