Gin is originally from the Netherlands and is a contraction of the French word for juniper. They started mixing alcohol with juniper in the 17th century for kidney pain. This spread to England, and the English soldiers got a taste for it. The gin was later sold at the pharmacy and used against ailments. Today, gin is known for use in drinks such as gin and tonic, dry Martini and Tom Collins.

Ginfernal is dance-pop duo Infernal's take on a gin, built around classic botanicals in a Spanish gin style, but with a distinct Nordic twist in the form of sea buckthorn. The sea buckthorn adds a tart, fruity and slightly wild character, giving the gin freshness and personality while retaining a recognisable dry gin structure with juniper and citrus as its backbone.
