Where most gins let juniper lead, Brockmans flips the formula and lets blueberries and blackberries take the starring role.
Expert's description
Brockmans Premium English Gin is an English gin distilled from 11 botanicals and bottled at 40%.
The recipe includes juniper, blueberries, blackberries, cassia bark, liquorice, lemon peel, coriander seed, angelica root, orange peel, almonds and orris.
By dialling down juniper's usual dominance and lifting the berries forward, the distillery creates a softer, more fruit-forward style than a classic London Dry.
The result is a gin often described as surprisingly smooth and complex, with fresh blackberries and raspberries in front rather than the typical juniper sharpness.
