After harvest, the grapes are fermented and macerated at 25°C in both stainless steel tanks and open wooden barrels, after which the wine is aged for 15 months in 1-2 year old French oak barrels followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing.

Expert's Description

Errazuriz Cabernet Sauvignon Errazuriz Estate is a Red Wine from Chile made from 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, bottled at 13.5% ABV.

The Errazuriz winery was founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errázuriz and is today one of Chile's most internationally acclaimed names. The Estate bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon is the house's approachable, classic red, made for the good everyday meal.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Lovely aroma of coffee, blackcurrant, spice and a hint of mint.

Palate

Wonderfully full-bodied and round with plenty of ripe berries.

Finish

Soft and rounded.

Serving & Food Pairing

Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass. Pairs perfectly with dark or light meat, and mild cheeses.
