Where Brut Classic shows the house's dry, classic side, Rose AOP reveals a more sensual facet of Deutz. The colour alone - a pale, salmon-pink hue - tells the story of a champagne built to charm.
Expert's Description
Deutz Rose AOP is a Sparkling Wine from Champagne, France, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with an alcohol content of 12%. The rose colour is achieved by adding a small proportion of red wine from Pinot Noir to the white cuvee before the second fermentation, a method that gives Deutz precise control over colour and fruit character. The champagne house, founded in Ay in 1838, has made rose a permanent part of its range, keeping the style dry despite the more fruit-driven profile. The bubbles form through the Traditional Method, with extended lees ageing.

Did You Know?
Champagne is one of very few places in the world where it is permitted to colour a sparkling wine rose by adding red wine to the white cuvee - a method called assemblage, which is otherwise banned in most other European wine regions.
