Brut Classic is the calling card of Champagne house Deutz, a dry, elegant style that has defined the house's reputation since its founding in Ay in 1838. It is the champagne you return to when you want the classic done right.
Expert's Description
Deutz Brut Classic AOP is a Sparkling Wine from Champagne, France, made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with an alcohol content of 12%. The champagne house was founded in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann and has since held to a style defined by purity and finesse rather than power. Brut Classic is the house's flagship cuvee, blended from grapes across several vintages and villages to ensure consistency year after year, made via the Traditional Method with extended lees ageing before disgorgement.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Fresh and floral on the nose, with almond notes and a touch of white blossom.
Palate
Clean and full-bodied on the palate, with good structure, finesse and a creamy texture carried by fine, persistent bubbles.
Finish
The finish is long and elegant, with a dry, almost crisp close.
Serving & Food Pairing
Serve at 8-10°C in a champagne flute or tulip glass. Decanting is not needed. Brut Classic pairs with fresh shellfish, sushi, or works well as an aperitif on its own.
