This unique 16-year-old Speyside whisky was bottled at full cask strength with an impressive 54.4% from cask #1. The deep color from the finish in a PX sherry cask is simply mouthwatering.

This whisky delivers powerful sherry notes with layers of dried fruit, toffee, and figs. It carries the distinctive complexity of Mannochmore, rounded off with subtle hints of cocoa and a touch of nuts. North British Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest grain distilleries, presents an expressive and complex single grain Scotch whisky with this release: North British 2009 from the 100 Proof Edition series. Distilled in 2009 and matured for 15 years in a combination of first-fill and refill Oloroso sherry butts as well as bourbon barrels, it was bottled in 2025 at a striking strength of 57.1%. The whisky is un-chillfiltered and retains its natural colour, offering an authentic and unadulterated experience of its character.

The nose reveals warm and sweet notes of butter caramel and maple syrup, accompanied by a delicate floral elegance. The palate is soft and creamy with rich layers of chocolate cake, sultana raisins, and roasted nuts. It has matured in both first and second fill Oloroso sherry butts, resulting in a distinctive and complex aroma with hints of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and spices. With an alcohol content of 48.2%, natural colour, and no chill filtration, it delivers an authentic and balanced tasting experience.

The whisky presents notes of apricot, orange, and fig, with subtle undertones of peach and pineapple.
