Amrut Peated Indian Single Malt Whisky is a Peated Indian Single Malt Whisky matured in American oak casks and bottled at 46%.
Unlike Fusion, the entire barley content here is peated, giving a more consistent smoky character while still carrying the signature Indian fruitiness underneath.

Nose
The nose offers peat smoke, toasted malt and a sweetness of honey.
Palate
The palate is warm and spicy with smoke, caramel and a touch of tropical fruit.
Finish
The finish is long and peaty with a closing sweetness.

Fusion is where it all began for Amrut internationally, a merger of Indian and Scottish barley that put Bangalore on the whisky map.
Expert's description
Amrut Fusion Indian Single Malt Whisky is an Indian Single Malt Whisky matured in new and used American oak casks and bottled at 50%.
The name Fusion refers to the whisky uniting two types of barley: Indian barley from the foothills of the Himalayas and lightly peated Scottish barley. The two malt types are distilled separately at the Amrut distillery in Bangalore and then married, letting east meet west in the same glass.
Tasting Notes
Nose
The nose is all-round fresh with clean barley, blood orange, brown sugar and a very gentle hint of peat.
Palate
The palate offers orange and vanilla, good oak character, mocha and peat that grow stronger in the glass.
Finish
The finish is long and rich with a fine balance between sweetness, spice and a touch of smoke.
