  Fary Lochan Blackcurrant Liqueur is a Danish Fruit liqueur based on Danish blackcurrants, bottled at 17% in a full-size 50 cl bottle.

  Fary Lochan Distillery was founded on 18 December 2009 by Jens-Erik Jørgensen near Farre close to Give in central Jutland. The blackcurrant liqueur is made with a balance of fresh Danish blackcurrants, fine spirit and a touch of sugar that highlights the natural berry nuances without overpowering them. The liqueur won the People's Choice Award at "Sol over Gudhjem" in 2023, where its fresh flavour and pleasant balance of acidity and sweetness were praised.

  Taste

  The nose is deep and berry-driven with ripe blackcurrants. On the palate, Fary Lochan Blackcurrant Liqueur is tangy-sweet with a clear blackcurrant character and a delicate balance, while the finish is clean and lightly tart.

The distillery is today best known for being the only one in the world to smoke its malt with fresh nettles, but alongside the whisky, the house's distillate also goes into a range of fruit liqueurs, including this blackcurrant liqueur, where fresh Danish blackcurrants give a deep, tangy-sweet flavour.
