History & Background

Renegade Rum Distillery was established on Grenada with a clear ambition to bring wine's terroir thinking into rum production, a concept that has historically played a very small role in the Caribbean rum industry. By growing and distilling sugarcane from specific fields, each with its own soil and microclimate, the distillery stands markedly apart from traditional rum production, where sugarcane is often blended from multiple sources. The project has been highlighted in international spirits media as one of the most ambitious attempts to bring scientific precision into the world of rum.
