Isle of Fionia Saudade 12 Year is an organic Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 52% as part of the Adventurous Spirit series from Isle of Fionia / Nyborg Distillery. With 12 years of maturation, Saudade is one of the oldest releases from the distillery and proof that Danish whisky can stretch. Tasting notes

Nose

Mature and aged with a complexity that takes time to unfold. Dark fruit, oak and a layer of warm vanilla and dry nougat. A wistfully soft character.

Palate

Deep and full-bodied with 12 years of cask and malt integration. Ripe fruit nuances – plums, dried figs – with an elegant dry oak spiciness. It moves slowly and deliberately across the palate.

Finish

Long and meditative with lingering dark fruit, warm oak and a discreet bitter note in the very tail of the close.
