Harvest has its own dark chapter. On the can, a pink glow breaks through a violet night sky, and in the glass Vocation follows up with plum jam, dark caramel and a whisper of fireside smoke. Dark Harvest is an Imperial Porter made for the long evenings.

Expert description of Vocation Dark Harvest Imperial Porter Beer

Vocation Dark Harvest is a 10.0% Imperial Porter, brewed and canned by Vocation Brewery in Cragg Vale, near Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. The can carries the words Special Edition, and the brewery describes the beer as layered with chocolate, dark caramel, toasted malt and dried fruit. Plum purée brings a deep, jammy sweetness, while a touch of smoked malt adds a quiet warmth.

The hop is Bramling Cross, which lends gentle notes of berry and spice without stealing the show from the malt. The ingredients are simple: water, barley malt, hops and yeast, and the beer is suitable for vegans.

The can recommends storing it cool and drinking it fresh. There may be sediment, so pour with care.
