Unicum Zwack is a Hungarian herbal liqueur at 40% ABV, brewed by the Zwack family in Budapest since 1840. The name traces back to Emperor Josef II, who, after tasting the drink in 1790, is said to have exclaimed "Das ist ein Unikum", this is something unique. The recipe is a secret blend of over 40 different herbs, matured in oak casks, and the distinctive round bottle makes Unicum one of the most recognisable herbal liqueurs in Europe.
