Toldboden is a restaurant and cocktail bar in the old ferry terminal in Copenhagen harbor. Here you can enjoy a meal and a cocktail with a beautiful view of the harbor. Here they have combined a cocktail that takes advantage of the intense juniper flavor, which plays particularly well against the sweetness of the vermouth.

About Boatyard Gin:

Boatyard Double Gin was the first product produced by the Irish Boatyard Distillery. There are "no bells, no whistles, just good gin done right", as Boatyard describes their product, and you can only agree when you taste it.

Boatyard The Dutch gin producers call their gin "double" because the distillate is sent through a unique juniper fortification, which the Dutch genever producers call "dubbel gebeide genever". This double contact with the juniper berries gives a more pronounced juniper impression, finished with a floral sweetness from the wild herbs that are part of the added botanicals.

Nothing has been compromised in the development of Boatyard. Everything has been tested, researched and tested again. Only organic botanicals are used, as the highest and most consistent quality was found among organic producers.

When Boatyard says "double" on the label, well, they mean double - and not just of juniper. This is an extreme gin whose spicy flavor bites back relentlessly when drunk neat. Boatyard Double Gin kicks in the door and screams pepper and lemon in your face before being drowned out by the juniper berries. However, once the surprise has worn off, the gin leaves a milder floral note that is easier to settle into.

Boatyard Double Gin is not designed to be drunk neat. It has been carefully developed for gin & tonic or in cocktails, where its loudness is tamed and the sweeter nuances are beautifully expressed.
