    Expert's description

Three Chain Road Rare Muscat Gin is an Australian gin infused with 50-year-old Muscat wine and bottled at 42%.

The gin is distilled in the old winery at Buller Wines in Rutherglen, north-east Victoria, founded by Reginald Langdon Buller in 1921. The name Three Chain Road comes from a historic stock route that connected Melbourne to New South Wales via customs houses at Wahgunyah and Corowa.

The base of classic gin botanicals is joined by a 50-year-old Muscat wine from the estate's own vineyards, giving the gin a rich, sweet depth and a character clearly shaped by the winery's heritage.

    Palate

The palate is rich and sweet, with the Muscat wine's character up front, supported by juniper and a spiced counterpoint.
