The Las Perlas Islands in the Pacific gave their name to pearls for centuries, and this 18 year old solera edition lives up to the same expectation of refinement and elegance.
Expert Description
Ron Cueva 1501 Las Perlas Elegante 18 Solera is a Panama Rum aged via the solera method for a minimum of 18 years and bottled at 40%.
The rum is named after the Las Perlas archipelago in the Pacific off Panama's coast, historically known for its pearl fishing. With 18 years of solera ageing, this is the most refined edition in the series' mid-tier, where extended contact with the casks delivers a more pronounced, elegant complexity than the younger Sistema 8 and San Blas Exclusiva 12.
The result is an elegant, deeply aromatic rum, where ripe dried fruits meet rich caramel and a long, silky finish.
Tasting Notes
