Ron Barcelo Imperial Onyx is a Rum from the Dominican Republic, matured 10 years in heavily charred ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 38%.
The rum is a blend of rums matured up to 10 years, after which it is filtered through onyx stone, a step that helps round off the edges and gives the colour its deep, mahogany brown tone. Ron Barcelo has produced rum in the Dominican Republic since the 1930s and is today one of the country's most famous names, known for a robust, structured style with clear cask influence.
