A ready-mixed cocktail built on an 18th-century clarification technique, where milk is used to make the drink silky smooth rather than cloudy. Created by Copenhagen bartender Kester Thomas.
Expert Description
Plantation Xaymaca Milk Punch by Kester Thomas is a Rum-based Spirit Drink made with Plantation Xaymaca Rum, bottled at 21%.
The cocktail was created by Kester Thomas CPH, a Copenhagen bar, and is mixed and bottled at Radius Distillery. The base is Plantation Xaymaca Rum from Jamaica, combined with Pineau des Charentes, milky oolong tea, coconut and organic sugar, plus coconut milk and verjus. The drink is made using the historic 18th-century "milk punch" technique, where milk is added and then filtered out, binding acid and tannins from the ingredients and leaving an unusually smooth, clear drink.
