In Alkmaar they call themselves "beer engineers" - and Moersleutel's pastry stouts are exactly that: engineered with precision, but brewed with a sense of play.

Expert description of Moersleutel Banana Bread Pastry Stout

Moersleutel Banana Bread Pastry Stout is an imperial stout from the Dutch brewery Moersleutel Craft Brewery in Alkmaar, founded in 2015 by the Zomerdijk brothers. The brewery is known for building its own equipment and for pastry stouts that mimic desserts with great precision - this release is inspired by classic banana bread.

The beer is brewed with banana, cocoa, coffee and vanilla, which together create a full-bodied, dessert-like experience carried by a solid malt backbone. At 12%, it's a beer for slow enjoyment - small glasses, plenty of time.
