Meyer Fonné Crémant d'Alsace AOP Brut Extra is a Sparkling Wine from Alsace, France made from Pinot Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, bottled at 12% ABV.
The wine comes from the Meyer-Fonné estate in Katzenthal and is made using the traditional method with secondary fermentation in bottle, aged on the lees for at least 12 months. The result is an elegant, dry sparkling wine suited both as an aperitif and at the table.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Stone fruit, crisp apple and a delicate pastry aroma.
Palate
Vibrant and mineral with fresh acidity and a light roundness.
Finish
Clean and lightly flinty with a touch of dryness.
Serving & Food Pairing
Serve at 6-8°C in a Champagne glass. Works well as an aperitif or with raw fish and shellfish.
