Kentucky Owl The Wiseman BLÅ American Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a blend of four bourbons from different Kentucky distilleries, aged up to 8.5 years, bottled at 45.4%. Kentucky Owl was founded by distiller Charles Mortimer Dedman in 1879, but lost its inventory when authorities seized the family's whiskey stock shortly before Prohibition in 1916. The brand lay dormant for nearly a century, until Dedman's descendant Dixon Dedman revived it in 2014, rebuilding Kentucky Owl around carefully selected and blended Kentucky whiskeys. In 2017, the family sold the brand to spirits company Stoli Group.
