Alcohol-free wine has long had a reputation for being a compromise. Justen Kiebel's Riesling is an attempt to challenge that idea - a de-alcoholised white wine that still tastes distinctly of Riesling's fresh acidity and citrus character.

    Expert's Description

Justen Kiebel Riesling Alkoholfri is an Alcohol-Free White Wine from Germany made from Riesling with an alcohol content of 0%. The wine is made by gently de-alcoholising a fully fermented Riesling, a process that removes the alcohol under low pressure and low heat to preserve as much of the grape's natural aroma as possible. The result is a wine that offers Riesling's characteristic freshness and minerality, without compromising on the alcohol-free premise. The wine should be enjoyed young, while the fruit is at its most pronounced.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Citrus, green apples and a touch of minerality on the nose.

    Palate

Fresh and fruity on the palate with a distinct acidity reminiscent of a regular, dry Riesling.

    Finish

The finish is light and clean, with a last hint of citrus peel.

    Serving & Food Pairing

Serve chilled at 8-10°C in a white wine glass. Decanting is not needed. The wine pairs with fish, salads or works well as a fresh everyday glass.
