Eight years under the tropical sun, four more years in former port wine casks – IPS 2 is Infernal's journey through two maturation climates in one bottle.

    Expert Description

Infernal Rum IPS 2 Barbados is a Barbadian Rum personally selected by Infernal, bottled at 52%.

IPS 2 continues the Infernal Personal Selection series, where Lina Rafn and Paw Lagermann personally choose the casks that live up to their taste. This edition comes from St. Philip in Barbados and underwent an unusual maturation process: first 8 years in ex-bourbon casks under the tropical sun, then a further 4 years in American oak casks that previously held Tawny Port. The result is a rum that unites tropical richness with elegant port wine notes, a combination rarely found outside the finest collections.

    Tasting Notes

Ripe melon, deep molasses, dry oak and juicy red grapes.

    Palate

Sweet red berries, warm spices and soft caramel, rounded off with creamy vanilla.

    Finish
