Glenrothes 1995/2023 from the Signatory Vintage series was distilled in May 1995 and bottled in July 2023, after 28 years of maturation in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, Cask No #6176.
Independent bottler Signatory buys casks from distilleries across Scotland and bottles them under their own name, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. With 453 bottles from this one cask, it's a limited but not extremely rare release.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Deep sherry sweetness, dried fruit and a touch of old oak.
Palate
Full and round, with raisins, caramel and a warm, spiced sweetness that carries the mark of the many years of maturation.
Finish
Long, soft and warm, with a lingering sherry sweetness.
