Five years in the Caribbean's tropical heat, three years in Jerez's Spanish wine climate, this rum crosses the Atlantic twice, first as distillate, then as aged rum, before landing in the glass.

    Expert Description

Dos Maderas Atlantic Double Aged Rom is a Caribbean Rum, double-aged 5 years in ex-bourbon casks and a further 3 years in sherry casks in Spain, bottled at 37.5%.

Dos Maderas, produced by the Spanish sherry house Williams & Humbert, is known for its transatlantic ageing process. The first maturation takes place in the Caribbean in casks that previously held bourbon, after which the rum is shipped to Jerez, Spain, for a further maturation in sherry casks. The Atlantic release continues this concept, with a deep amber colour as the result of the meticulous, double ageing process.

The result is a complex, seductive rum where Caribbean and Spanish traditions meet in one bottle.
