Juniper foraged from the southern slopes of Mount Everest at up to 5,200 metres gives this English gin an intensely piney character, met by Italian bergamot.
Expert's description
Boxer Gin Premium London Dry Gin is an English London Dry Gin, bottled at 40%.
The rare Himalayan juniper grows between 2,600 and 5,200 metres and is foraged from Mount Everest's southern slopes in the Solukhumbu District of northeastern Nepal.
The juniper berries are steam-distilled separately, directly in the Himalaya, through a gentle 20-hour process, after which the essence is sent to England and, following an eight-hour maceration, transferred to 'Angela', the distillery's 115-year-old copper pot still.
Bergamot, an aromatic citrus fruit, is sourced from Calabria in southern Italy and cold-pressed, its essential oil then added to the gin after distillation.

Nose

Palate

Finish
The finish is long and lingering, with spice and a touch of citrus.
