Abuelo XV Oloroso is a Dark Panama Rum, 15 years old, finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks and bottled at 40%.
The rum is part of Abuelo's XV Finish Collection, a series of three bottlings where the same 15-year-old base receives a different final cask maturation. In this release the choice has fallen on Oloroso sherry casks, which add deep, nutty and lightly sweet tones on top of the underlying Panamanian character.
Abuelo is one of Panama's most respected rum brands and has produced rum since the early 20th century. This 20 cl bottle makes it possible to explore the Oloroso finish without committing to a full 70 cl bottle.
